Chapter 29

Aria and Beyorn circled around Aku, looking very concerned. they knew exactly what had happened. Aku did not. She laughed as the two animals herded her towards the branch that The Four Elementals shared. She seemed completely unperterbed to find both Amara and Kilorn missing. After all, it was lunchtime, they were probably eating together down in the food hall.

Then Aku felt it. The tingling feeling in her toes. Magic residue. The type they use in Dimension X. Aku knew that feeling all too well. She shuddered at the thought. Bad memories. She had just gotten good at banishing those. Aku ran up to Sana's branch.

"Patfacio sursum," Aku said impatiently, as if the section of bark couldn't slide down quickly enough. "Sana, we need to go through the portal, now,"

Sana, who was in the middle of making either a very important potion or a mess that could turn her hair murky green for a week (don't ask), looked puzzled.

" What do you mean leave," Sana asked, confused. As if to demonstrate, a portal opened in the middle of the room and started sucking things in. A few beads and necklaces that
looked important, a potion that exploded when the cap flew off.

"Grab something," Aku said urgently as the swirling vortex tried to pull them in. Aria and Beyorn retreated past the doorway, which Aku grabbed a "twig" which was about the size of her thigh. (I don't think any of you realise how big the tree is). Sana lost her footing and would've gotten sucked in were it not for Aku. Sana screamed and grasped Aku's leg. As quickly as it oppened, the portal closed.

" We need to leave now," Aku repeated.

"My sentiment exactly," Sana agreed.

They ran towards the training arena where Cal and Flavia were sparring.

" We're leaving now, like right now," Aku interrupted.

" Why?" Cal enquired.

"Don't ask, just run," Aku said. They ran towards the stables. Aku jumped onto Meliorna and the others ran to the pegasus chariot.
