Amara followed the dragon easily. They flew for a few miles. A cluster of floating islands similsr to the hybrid base. But there were far more. One had active volcanoes, spewing lava everywhere. Another was completely frozen over, an icy tundra. The islands that housed fire, air, water and earth were the biggest.
They landed on the air island which was a giant cloud. Amara was shocked to find that she could actually stand on the translucent mist.
"This is our home, the only place the drakes can't get to us," The dragon said.
(This is the dragon BTW also its male lol I changed my mind)
"Oh, by the way, my name's Reinn, what's yours?" He said.
"Amara," She said looking around at the other air-type dragons. Most of them were either sleeping or lying down. "What did you mean when you said that we were safe from the drakes here," Amara continued
"Where have you been living all this time, its like you're from Domus Hominum or something," Reinn scoffed.
"Sorry its just, I'm not from around here,''Amara faltered. She got the feeling that Domus Hominum was her dimension and it was apparent that they didn't like her dimension.
"Thats fine I guess. The Drakes aren't letting us dragons land, so we built this place so we wouldn't get wiped out, even with this place, we're still losing people. if our ancestors hadn't forgotten how to do magic, we might actually stand a chance,"Reinn spat angrily.
"Wait, you can't do magic?'' Amara looked shocked.
"No, of course not, no one has magic any more. The only magic we possess is being resistant to our element and that isn't much use," Reinn said in his velvety voice.
"I can teach you air magic," Amara said quietly.
"WHAT??'' Reinn demanded.
"Take me somewhere more private and I'll show you,'' Amara stuttered under Reinn's stone-cold gaze. Reinn nodded and took off. Amara was getting tired. She had never stayed in her Verum this long before. She hoped she had enough energy to summon some magic.
Reinn led her to a cave in the side of one of the islands. Amara colapsed into her human form.
"WHAT THE HELL???" Reinn cried.
