It was magnificent. There was a stable for pegasi at the back. That was where they landed. They dismounted and as soon as Kilorn's feet touched the ground he colapsed and promptly vomited. Amara was doubled over laughing.
"Oh my god are you ok?"Amara hoisted Kilorn's arm over her shoulder. She half carried, half dragged Kilorn after Aku.
They followed Aku through a marble archway and came to a herb garden.
"Half this garden is for medicine, the other half could kill you," Aku spoke very matter-of-factly. She slapped Kilorn's hand with which he was trying to touch a leaf, leaning off Amara as he did so.
"That's belladonna, Mr Warren, you would not have a good time if you touched that" Aku's face showed resignation.
"WELL WHY IS IT ON THE EDGE OF THE PATH?" Kilorn didn't look happy.
"Well it has to go somewhere," Cal said, a smile tugging at his lips, the first one in a while.
"Aku, stop lollygagging," a deep gravely british voice screamed at Aku from a window high up.
"He's right we better get moving, and a word of warning, don't get on Eddie's bad side, he's a vamp, and he has anger issues," Aku shuddered. She led the group across a bridge into the main building which was stunning, even more so up close.
"Kilorn, I'm sure you can walk on your own now,"Flavia said grinning. She felt better than she had in years, she was surrounded by decent people, this was fun. Kilorn stuck his tongue out at Flavia.
