The head tactician, a centaur named Gregory had listened to Aku's briefing, intently taking notes so that he could brief his men. First he had to brief Lotus, as she had missed the meeting. Once he had done so, she recorded herself on a message stone, telling the people what was going on. This was also a way of getting the government off their backs. They would hopefully be pre-occupied with preparing for what was coming. But that probably not happen because things never went the protagonist's way *wink*. HAHA LOL SUFFER, IM A GOD IN THIS WORLD. Sorry we got a bit off track there.

Cal and Flavia were doing their favourite thing, polishing their weapons. Cal with his twin scimitars. Flavia with her gun and katana, both sheathed at either hip. Amara was sitting with Kilorn, staring at the stars, dangeling their legs over the edge if the branch. Amara got up to get a drink. she was halfway over to the hut when suddenly a black swirling portal opened up beneath her feet.

Amara screamed in terror as the portal sucked her in. Kilorn glanced over as Amara's head disappeared into the swirling abyss. He ran to the portal calling her name desperatly. He tried to stick his arm in as it closed but it launched him back out. He was sent flying back, missing a hut by millimetres. He kept going over the edge of the branch. he tried desperatly to cling onto the branch but he kept sliding over the edge.

He tumbled over and over through the air. He shifted into his Verum and tried to slow his descent by gripping branches. It was about a kilometre to the ground and he would surely go splat. He passed ground level of the floating island. He gave up on gripping branches and shifted back. This was it. This was the end. Kilorn was going to die. He wished Amara was here now. She would easily swoop in and save him. A tear trickled down his cheek. He didn't bother feeling fear. He just let it happen. His only regret was that he would see Amara again. Nothing else mattered.

"Goodb-" his final words got cut off.
