Amara woke up next to Kilorn. She smiled and walked to her own hut to grab slippers. She slipped them on and tiptoed as quietly as she could down to the food hall so as not to wake Kilorn. Everyone had already gone downstairs so it was probably after 9.
She was up late but she didn't care. Yesterday had gone amazingly. Nothing could bring her down. Except... no she wouldn't let that get to her, not today. Kilorn was safe. Thats all that mattered right now.
She approached the food hall "2 plates of pancakes please," Amara said cheerfully. The young dryad working there smiled and piled extra pancakes onto each plate.
"Thanks," Amara grin widened.
She carefully carried them up the tree. When she got there Kilorn was sitting on the bed staring at the floor.
"You said you wouldn't leave," Kilorn said as he heard her footsteps approach.
"I was getting pancakes, dont worry," Amara's smile faltered. "Delilah gave us extra,"
"Oh... ok, just don't go anywhere without me, ok,? Kilorn muttered.
"Ok," Amara nodded and sat cross-legged opposite Kilorn. They wolfed down the pancakes wholeheartedly.
When they finished, Kilorn grinned and whispered into Amara's ear. She hugged him tight and mirrored his smile. After a few minutes Flavia and Cal appeared at the door.
"Uhh... someone wants to talk to us... we're probably in trouble," Flavia stated and Cal nodded.
" Yeah we're definitely in trouble," Cal said solemnly.
Amara and Kilorn got up to go.
"No, Lotus said kilorn needs to stay here," Flavia said
"No, no way," Kilorn's eyes widened.
"Ok... I guess you're coming,"Flavia nodded slowly.
