She's now a few hours old and it's just me and her as Jack sat in the chair snoring. I spent hours just staring at her, she was absolutely beautiful, of course all my kids are beautiful but there was something about her, maybe it was her dark hair and big green eyes but something was different about her. She was a great sleeper. I swear that's all she does. As Jack's s'mores filled the room her eyes fluttered open.

"Good morning baby" I smiled as I gently ran my finger down her cheek

"Did daddy wake you up?" I laughed.

I looked to my phone and notice that it was now 8am My baby is already 8 hours old. I quickly fed her and noticed Jack was beginning to wake up.

"About damn time. Do you know how loud you are?" I asked him and he rubbed his hand down his face

"Yeah sorry. I need to get that fixed" he got up and walked towards us "how are you two?" He asked as he took a seat on the edge of the bed and extended his arms to take her.

"Maybe you should get back the gifts need to be out for the kids when they wake up" I said as I handed her off to him

"Don't worry shortly after we left Tristan ran over to the house and brought them over to their place and your mom wrote them a note from Santa all is good" he said but he didn't take his eyes off of her. "Everyone will be coming at different times throughout the day" he said and I nodded. The nurse came in for my checkup and Jack stood up.

"I'll bring her for a little walk. I'll be back" Jack smiled

"He's adorable" the nurse admired

"He's so different with her than our last. He was never like that" I laughed as she began taking my blood pressure

"Is this his first girl?" She asked as she wrote down the results

"Yes she technically is" I said and she nodded

"That's why. A man is more attached to a girl. She'll be the love of his life" she added and I'm sure she was write.

"I can see that" I laughed. I'm glad. That's something Olivia didn't have. Justin was so detached. I knew I got it right this time.

"Well you look great" the nurse smiled "I'll check the baby and if everything is good you can go home tonight" she said excitedly and I was glad I didn't want to stay here long. It was the holidays all I wanted was to be with my family.

"Alright papers are in you can leave tonight" Dr. Ramsay smiled as she pulled her glasses off

"That's great" I said as I looked to Jack and the baby in the chair

"Knock knock" I heard and I looked to the door to see Kris, my mom and the kids as they got farther in, a long train of people walked in. Jack set her in the bassinet and got up to greet everyone.

"Oh. Everyone" i started "I thought you guys were all coming at different times"

"Yeah but Jack called and said there was a good chance you'd be coming home tonight and we were all together anyway so here we are" Kris threw her hands up and plastered on her trademark smile.

"No more chit chat where is she?" David asked causing me to laugh

"She's right there" I laughed pointing to her

"Oh my god. She's beautiful" Kim admired

"So does she have a name?" Kris asked as she picked her up

"River Gilinsky" I smiled to Jack as he took my hand in his

"That is such a precious name" Katherine gushed
