Chapter 7

Kennedy's POV

I walk up to Nick's door feeling so confident until I reach the door and all I feel is anxious... What if he says last night was a mistake.. I can not handle the embarrassment. I decide to leave.. I can't do this.. Not today. I begin to walk away when he opens the door.

"Hey! Where are you going?" He said cheerfully

"Oh hey! Umm.. No where I.. Ugh" I said anxiously

"Come on in." Nick said opening the door a little wider

"Ugh... Listen I know you think last night was a mistake but I don't! I don't think it was a mistake because I like you so much and honestly I ca-". I half yell until I get interrupted

"Hey, hey..." He takes my hand. "I don't think it was a mistake.. I loved every minute of it but me can't be together..." He states with a tear rolling down his cheek

"Wh.. What?! You just said you liked it! You said you liked me! God I have a way of picking guys! First I pick a guy that likes to be verbally abusive then finally I get over him and I jump right into the arms of a liar!" I yelled out with tears rolling down my face as I walked away from Nick.

"Kennedy come back! I want to talk why are you yelling? Just please come sit down.. You didn't even let me finish!" Nick said running over to me and pulling me into a hug.

We go and sit in his living room.

"Listen.. Nick I'm sorry.. That I jumped to conclusions.. But every time I jumped to conclusions with Justin I was always right!" I said trying to hold back my tears.

"Kennedy.. That's not fair.. I'm not him.. I would never treat you like that. You deserve the world. You are a beautiful girl. And I don't know why he would ever treat you like that! He doesn't know what he lost Kenn but you can't treat me like I'm him because I'm not him." He said in a very comforting tone.

"Well then why can't we be together?" I asked confused.

"Because.. You are 16... And I'm about to turn 20 that's illegal Kennedy..." He said not making eye contact with me.

"Nick.. I'll be 17 in three weeks." I say trying to cheer things up.

"Kenn.. That's still young... But I want to be with you don't get me wrong!" He said still trying not to make eye contact.

"Listen.. Maybe there's a way around this..." I say with a smile.

"What do you mean? Unless there's a way to magically make you 18 then I don't think there is." He said.

"No I mean it's not illegal for us to 'hangout'..." I said with a grin.

"Ha.. why is hangout it air quotes?" He asked confused.

"Well I mean I'll be 17 in three weeks! Then we can lay low until I'm 18!" I said in a excited yelling voice..

"That could work but I don't want to just be friends with you..." He said in a doubtful tone.

"That's not what I mean... To the public we are friends but to me and you we can be whatever you want us to be..." I say.

"Ahh I see! So you mean boyfriend and girlfriend?" He asked cheerfully

"Possibly..." I say laughing

"Well you got yourself a deal!" He said pulling me into a hug "But" He said.

"But what?" I asked confused

"We have to promise that there will be nothing sexual..." He stated.

"Ever?" I asked confused and trust me I was only half kidding..

"What no! Just until you are legal and I'm not kidding about this. We can't.." He said

"Listen Nick I completely agree!" I said

"Good!" He said leaning down and giving me a kiss

"Should we tell our family?" I asked

"Yeah of course!" He said

I look over to the clock and notice that it's already 6:30 and Kylie is expecting me at 7.

"Listen.. I have to go.. I promise Kylie I would meet her at 7 and if I don't get there on time she will have my mom on the phone by 7:01..." I tell him

"She's a worrier huh?" He asked laughing

"You have no idea!" I say laughing while walking away.

"I'll call you later!" He yelled out

-At Kylie's-

"KY! IM HERE! WHERE ARE YOU??" I yelled out.. But there's no response. I check the kitchen, living room, the basement and upstairs and she isn't there... But all her cars are here.. So I go outside and I see her curled up in a ball crying in a lounge chair.

"Oh my god Ky what's wrong?" I asked worriedly

"T-ty... TYGA CHEATED ON ME!" She yelled crying out.

"Oh Kylie I'm so sorry!" I said pulling her into a hug. I was going to tell her about Nick and me tonight but I clearly can't now...

"Let's get you inside.." I said

"Ok..." She said while whimpering

We get inside and she sits down and the table.

"Listen Ky... Do you want to come stay with me?... There's a bunch of Tyga's things here.. And.. I" say until I get interrupted

"You know what? Yeah!" She said confidently.

-At Khloe's house-

"Wait where's your mom?" She asked

"Oh Kim, Kourt and mom had to fly out to Dash NY... Some emergency..." I said

"Oh ok.." She said

We spent most of the night watching Netflix and eating ice cream. Until we start talking about guys.

"Kenn.. I need to find someone new.. "Kylie said sounding oddly optimistic.

"Kylie you guys just broke up... I think you should take a breather.. You're a beautiful girl and you deserve so much.. So take your time to find someone that will appreciate you and your value." I said in a low voice..

"Aww Kennedy... Don't make me cry again.. You are honestly the best"! She said laughing with tears in her eyes.. But I could tell they were good tears...

"BUT! I can find you a guy! How about..." She started

"Umm listen Kylie.. There's something I want to tell you..." I started
