Chapter 60

"What the hell happened?" Jack asked angrily as he looked out the window rubbing the back of his neck

"Kennedy sent me out so when I went out to the hallway he wasn't there so I assumed he meant" She cried. She was out of breath which I assumed was from the crying and possibly the fact that it seemed like she had ran here. "so I assumed he'd be waiting at the car but when i got down there he was crying in the car with the doors locked when I knocked all he did was roll down the window and said he couldn't do this anymore and drove off" she fell to the ground and began balling again

"Okay look everything is going to be fine. The first thing you're going to do is lower your voice so you don't wake my daughter" I added as I walked over to Jack

"What the hell am I going to do? You guys were right all he was going to do was run. I should've listened. I never listen" She held her head in her hands

"You know Madison I literally can't help you anymore... I've always made sure you steered clear of the things that I had to go through because I care about you" I began as I stepped away from Jack and towards her "It's like you want these things to happen to you I just can't anymore-" i finished before getting interrupted by Olivia

"mommy when can we leave?" I heard her call out

"soon baby soon" I assured her as I walked to Jack "Can you take care of her and get her ready to leave? the doctor should be in with discharge papers soon" I whispered

"Yeah no problem" He nodded and I began to walk away "hey"

"hmm" I hummed back to him as he gently tugged on my wrist

"Don't come for her neck right now" he whispered and I was taken aback by his request because I was angry and i knew he was too "I'm annoyed too but she's never been good at following instructions you know that... now's just not the time her boyfriend - or umm fiance just left her. Take it easy" I nodded

"Fine. I'll bite my tongue then" i rolled my eyes. Jack lowly laughed "Alright Madison lets take a walk" i added as I walked passed a crying Madison and through the door

"You don't need to do this" She whimpered as we walked passed the nurses station

"No I do... I need to make peace with you seeing as you're going to be the mother of my children's sibling whether you are with Justin or not so yes I do need to help you" I forced a smile her way "but i just want you to know how hard it is to stop myself from telling you I told you so..." I half joked

"I know must be hard" She laughed lightly "I'm just- I'm sorry Kennedy I really am" I was getting tired of this repetitive line

"Madison don't take this the wrong way but there's no need to continue apologizing if you're just going to continue doing the same thing" I bit my lip, she seemed to be taken aback

"I get that" She nodded

"How about you go do something that you'll enjoy... shop for the baby, watch a movie... just do something that'll take your mind off Justin. Trust me it helps" I smiled lightly "then when you're done go and grab your stuff bring someone with you though okay? Rent a hotel or stay with someone. It'll all work out I promise"

"Thank you. Again" She mirrored my smile and walked towards Olivia's room to grab her purse and head out. I slowly began to make my way back. Thinking back to how fucked up my life has been but how grateful I was that everything changed so drastically

"Alright bye guys" I heard Madison said as she walked out of the room. She turned to me. Smiled, waved and made her way to the elevator

"Okay you guys ready to go?" I asked excitedly and Olivia nodded quickly
