Kovu and a lioness with golden fur, brown eyes and a tuff of fur over her eye were sitting by the waterhole, talking and laughing, little knowing that Kiara was on her way. "You know what I like about you Kovu?"asked Angie smiling. " What?"questioned Kovu." "Your sense of humor, your self confidence and your bravery." Kovu felt himself blushing at the comments. He leaned his head forward and nuzzled Angie's cheeks. Angie didn't know how to react, so instead she nuzzled him back. "Imagine the things that go on behind my back!" Angie and Kovu, startled by the sudden disruption, jerked around and came face-to-face with an angry Kiara, a shocked Diana and Burnt-Ebony, and a smug Vitani and Marisa. Kovu gulped and looked at Angie. Angie got up and prepared to leave, but was instantly stopped by Kiara. "Where do you think you're going Angie?"  asked Kiara, her voice rigid and angry. When Angie replied, her voice was fill of fear. "N...nowhere,"  she said.
" Ok then if you aren't going anywhere, then I would like to have a word with you if you don't mind." Angie nodded. Kiara pulled her up and led her to Pride Rock. Kovu was just about to attempt an escape when Kiara's voice stopped him in his tracks. " Kovu if you dare move from there you're gonna sleep outside for a month and two weeks. And I mean that!" Kovu shuddered at the thought of having to sleep out in the cold for so long. So he laid down on the grass.
"So, you just couldn't stay away Angie, could you?"asked Marisa in disgust. Kovu rolled his eyes and shook his head. " And now you've gotta wait until Kiara comes back before you can move from here," said Vitani smiling. "I don't have to wait for anyone, said Kovu grinning. I'm my own lion. So if I want to move, I'll move." "Well move then, said Ebony. Kovu smirked and got up. He hadn't moved three feet, when he heard Kiara's voice in the distance, so he hastily sat down again. "Baby," whispered Diana.
Kiara walked up to Kovu with Angie right behind her. "All right, she said calmly. I've spoken to Angie and she's probably not going to be around Kovu for some time, right Angie?" She nodded timidly. " My mom wants me home now, so if you don't mind I'd like to go now."
Kiara allowed her to leave and turned to Kovu. " And you!"she shouted angrily, causing Kovu to flinch in fear. "What did you think you were doing? Flirting with Angie." Kovu was terrified. What would he say, how would he react. Suddenly he had an amazing idea, if he was to get out of this predicament. "Well, I'm waiting for an answer," said Kiara tapping on the grass. Kovu sniffled uncomfortably, he hung his head and sighed dramatically.
"I'm so ashamed of myself, I didn't know what I was thinking. I was so blinded by Angie's beauty, that I forgot that I was in love with you, the most important thing in my life." He shook his head and let tears run down his face. This was too much for Kiara. "Ohh Kovu, baby please don't cry...I...I'm s.sorry I yelled at you. No please don't cry." Good job Kovu he congratulated himself. You just need to work on her eyes now and lo and behold. " Ohhh Kiara my love, I don't deserve to be called your future King. I'm too bad, you gave me so much and what did I do, I backstabbed you. I'm so worthless!" He covered his head and sobbed as loud as he could. " No Kovu," sobbed Kiara. "You aren't worthless. Please I'm begging you please stop crying." Kovu sniffled for the last time and got up. " Thanks Kiara I owe you."
To make sure that he and Kiara we're on good terms again, he licked her cheeks and gave her a nuzzle. When she went back home, the others were disgusted by Kovu's display of pretension. "You just need to learn to talk your way out of situations like me," he said when Kiara was out of earshot. Knowing that it was impossible to reason with Kovu, the others left
