"I don't understand why no one wants to talk to us." Crowley stated, and Castiel couldn't tell if his partner was joking or not. "I think we're lovable." Castiel rolled his eyes at Crowley as a breeze blew past the two of them as they walked back to Castiel's old, brown, Chevrolet pickup truck.
Castiel and Crowley had just finished checking out another lead on Lucifer's new vessel, Vince Vincente, who was a rockstar from the band Ladyheart. The lead had been an eye witness that had claimed to see Vince's eyes flash red after a meeting with him on the street, then being thrown into an alleyway by an invisible force. The eye witness had refused to even open the door to Castiel and Crowley-who were going as their new aliases, Agent Beyoncé and Agent Z, respectively. Since the eyewitness refused to participate, Crowley zapped himself inside the house then opened the front door to allow Castiel in, which horrified the eyewitness who still refused to speak with the two fake FBI agents.
"If by 'lovable' you mean traumatizing people who aren't familiar with the supernatural," Castiel started, holding back another eye roll as him and Crowley climbed into his truck, "then, yes, incredibly."
Crowley's phone dinged in his pocket as Castiel started the truck. Crowley pulled his phone out and checked the screen, letting out a hum as he squinted slightly at his phone, re-reading the message to make sure he had seen it right.
Castiel glanced over at Crowley and cocked an eyebrow. "What is it?" Castiel asked.
"Seems one of my few, last standing loyalists has what they think is a lead on a stray hellhound for us in El Reno, Oklahoma. She thinks it might be Lucifer's work." Crowley announced, looking at Castiel knowingly. Crowley slightly smirked as Castiel somewhat tilted his head and his expression turned into one of confusion.
"Isn't that where Evelyn and Lottie live?" Castiel asked, turning back to the steering wheel.
"Now you're catching on!" Crowley chirped. "Time to see our favorite Winchester." Castiel rolled his eyes and placed his hands on the steering wheel, signaling and looking over his shoulder as he pulled away from the curb.
"You mean your favorite Winchester." Castiel remarked, an annoyed look appearing on his face as Crowley let out an awkward scoff.

"Are you sure this is the right address?" Castiel asked as he pulled up to the curb a few houses away from the taped-off crime scene. "That looks like..."
"Why is Evelyn's house surrounded by police tape?" Crowley questioned, immediately opening his car door and stepping out, Castiel following as the two of them approached the crime scene-which was Evelyn and Lottie's driveway that was roped off by yellow police tape.
"Do you think Lucifer found her?" Castiel asked hurriedly, taking faster steps so he could catch up with Crowley.
"Oh, he's hilarious if he thinks he can mess with my business." Crowley growled, speaking through his clenched teeth. Crowley noticed how Castiel's shoulders stiffened, and the demon realized that if the devil had laid a hand on Evelyn that Lucifer would now have four angry men coming after him instead of two. Lucifer had already taken Crowley's spot as King of Hell; Lucifer would not be taking his former customers too.
"Fellas!" the sheriff chimed as Castiel and Crowley walked up to the driveway, the two of them standing on one side of the police tape and the sheriff on the other. "I'm Sheriff Tom Keller. What can I do for you?" Castiel and Crowley both reached into the inner pocket of their blazer and trench coat, pulling out their fake FBI badges and flashing them to Sheriff Keller.
