You thought chapter one was the Glee reference? Nope. I've started (and finished) Glee since then. This chapter is the Glee reference.

This is for all my Gleek homies <3

Evelyn smoothed her hands over the wrinkles in her comforter and propped her pillows up, straightening the alarm clock on the nightstand as she did so. She turned and glanced at herself in the full-length mirror hanging from the inside of the closet door, seeing her gray blouse, black jeans, green army jacket, and brown boots staring back at her. Her hair was down for once, the pieces curled in loose waves, courtesy of Alex.

"Hey, shortstop." Claire said as she leaned against the doorway of Evelyn's room. Evelyn glanced at her and Claire grinned. "Breakfast is ready."

"Okay." Evelyn answered. "I'll be down in a minute." Claire nodded and headed back downstairs.

It had been five days since Evelyn had moved in with Jody, and things were going pretty smoothly. Claire and Alex got back from their concert the day after Evelyn had arrived, and they both had taken a liking to her. Evelyn was the youngest in the house by far at 15 while Claire was 22 and Alex was 23, but the two older girls didn't seem to mind. Claire helped Evelyn with organizing her new room and Alex took the three of them to a mall a couple of towns over where they shopped and went to see a movie together. It was where Evelyn had bought the army jacket she currently had on with her own money. She felt proud of herself because now she had something of her own that wasn't a hand-me-down.

After Evelyn's first few days, Jody decided she had adjusted enough to be enrolled at the Sioux Falls High School. Evelyn had been a sophomore at El Reno, and since she had kept outstanding grades and a high GPA despite her absences, the school decided to keep her enrolled as a 10th grader. Alex had attended the school and said it wasn't that bad and Evelyn would enjoy it, but Evelyn didn't even like her own high school, and she didn't think that high schools were much different despite where you went.

Evelyn was about to go to her first day of school, and she could easily finish out the year since it was currently the first week of May and school was out in June. It was hard to believe that Evelyn had only met Sam and Dean at the end of February. Everything had taken place in such a short amount of time, and Evelyn was still trying to wrap her head around all of it.

Evelyn took a few steps over to the vanity in her room and examined herself again, her fingers fiddling with the edges of her hair. She had felt better since she had moved in with Jody, but she was still adjusting. Sam and Dean still spoke with her, and Castiel as well from time to time, but everything still felt strange. She felt like something was missing.

Evelyn glanced down at the drawers of the vanity and opened the top one, seeing a pair of scissors laying neatly inside. She grabbed them and closed the drawer, weighing the object in her hand and glancing between the scissors and the mirror.

Evelyn grabbed a piece of hair and started cutting.

"Claire, where's Ev-holy hell." Alex asked, her sentence coming to a complete stop as Evelyn walked into the kitchen. Jody stopped setting down the plate in her hand and stared at Evelyn while Claire's mouth was slightly agape.

Evelyn's hair was suddenly much shorter than it had been ten minutes ago. Her hair had been down to her chest, just above her breasts, but now it was barely past her chin, not even touching her shoulders. It curled a little more now, the waves in loose ringlets since they weren't weighed down anymore.
