Evelyn went home a few days after the werewolf hunt.
She was glad she got to spend an extra few days with her father and uncle, but Dean said they still 'had work to do' and that they didn't want Evelyn to get hurt again. She was all caught up on their code words from the drive to Ohio and Sam and Dean taught her how to clean and stitch up a wound using whiskey and fishing line when they got back to the bunker that night (which was super gross, but Evelyn just sucked it up and sat through it). Dean thought she had learned enough over the trip to go home.
It was March 19th when Evelyn had seen them again.
She was laying on her bed in her room, her mother in the kitchen doing some type of paperwork, and Evelyn was reading a book. She was leaning against the headboard of her bed, red and black plaid pajama pants on, and an oversized Metallica shirt hanging on her body. She was about to finish her chapter, brushing a piece of hair out of her face, when suddenly, she blinked, and she was on the Map of Worlds table in the bunker.
Evelyn leaned backward, not realizing she wasn't in her bedroom anymore, and fell, hitting her head harshly on the table. Her book lay open on her chest as she groaned, a hand suddenly went behind her head and one on her back. The hands lifted Evelyn to sit up and she looked around, seeing a few new and familiar faces around her. Evelyn looked at the hands and realized the one on her back belonged to Dean, and Sam was on the other side with one behind her head. Evelyn felt a sense of nausea in her stomach at the thought of how she just appeared here. Maybe teleporting wasn't her thing.
"Guys? What happened?" Evelyn asked, looking at Dean and Sam, then turning her eyes to the man who stood in the doorway of the library. He looked a little frustrated, and Evelyn could practically feel the distress radiating off of him. "Who's that?" Evelyn asked, turning back to Sam and Dean. They took their hands off of her and she scooted herself off the table, bare feet landing on the concrete and making her shiver.
"Why did you bring her here?" A frustrated voice came from behind the man, and Evelyn's eyes went wide as she saw Lucifer stand up and stomp forward to stand next to the stranger. Evelyn's heart started racing as she noticed that Lucifer was still in Castiel's vessel. The poor angel must be scared out of his wits.
"Ev, it's okay." Sam said coolly, as she backed up slightly. Her back hit the table and Sam rested a hand on her shoulder. It had been so long since she had seen Lucifer, Evelyn had forgotten how scared she was of him. Sam took note of how she wasn't shying behind him or Dean this time.
"He can't hurt you, Evelyn." the stranger said kindly. Evelyn's eyes darted toward him.
"Who are you?" Evelyn asked as her heart rate sped up. She took a step forward to stand between Sam and Dean and Sam's hand went off her shoulder. She stood up a little straighter as the stranger examined her.
"Ev," Dean started, "that's God."
It was quiet for a few moments as Evelyn stared at the man in front of her. Dean was kidding, right? She knew that the Winchesters were looking for God to join the fight against The Darkness, but she didn't believe they would actually find him. And why was Lucifer here? Surely he couldn't be involved in stopping Amara. Everything was happening so fast, and Evelyn just continued staring at the man and blinked.
"God." Evelyn stated in a monotone voice, the word feeling foreign in her mouth. "You're God."
"I prefer to go by Chuck, actually." the man said, smiling at Evelyn.
"I'll ask one more time." Lucifer said angrily from behind Chuck. "Why is little runner here?"
"Why do you call me that?" Evelyn asked, voice rising as she glared at Lucifer. The devil crossed his arms over his chest and stared back at her.
