"I'm scared," I said.We had bought our wristbands and Tyler, unsurprisingly, chose for us to go on the scariest ride there. It was the scariest ride there. It was a rollercoaster that went slowly up and plunged meters down at an incredibly rapid speed.
We were sat down on the ride after ages of waiting. The guy who was looking after the ride, to make sure everything was safe, came to check if our seatbelts were secure. He checked mine and Tyler last. Oh yeah, did I mention that we were sitting at the fucking front, making it a thousand times more scary. I was shitting it.
He gestured for me to hold his hand but I shook my head. I wasn't a kid.
The ride began and the cart started to go up. The cart stopped moving when we were at the very top. All the people on the ground looked like little dots and you couldn't make out anything. I grabbed Tyler's hand and squeezed the living daylights out of it as the cart went rushing down. I screamed the loudest I had ever done. I could hear Tyler's laughter. My stomach felt queasy due to the drop.
I stopped screaming the moment the drop had ended. The cart went forward in a straight path. I saw ahead that there was a massive loop.
"No, no, no, get me off this thing," I yelled.
"It's okay," Tyler said, squeezing my hand.
The cart speeded up its speed when we were near the loop and I hugged onto Tyler. I buried my face into him and closed my eyes as the cart went upside around the loop. I screamed into him as I felt my body go upside down. I held onto him tighter for fear that I'd fall out.
I felt the cart stop and I opened my eyes. The ride has ended. Our seatbelt unlocked and I let go off Tyler. He got out and gave me a hand and helped me out. I nearly toppled onto the floor. Tyler steadied me up and held onto me. Before I knew it, I was sick all over the floor. I coughed vigorously as Tyler rubbed my back until my coughing fit stopped.
"Alexa, there's blood on the floor," he said.
"Don't worry, I've had it checked by the doctor, he said it's nothing to worry about," I said.
"Do you want some water or anything?" He asked.
"Yeah," I said.
We both got a bottle of water that Tyler paid for. I drank it down and binned the bottle.
"Another ride?" I asked.
"You barely survived the ride, I think the teacups would be most suitable for you," he said.
"You're so funny," I said sarcastically.
"I need to pick Ariana from school now, so we'll have to go," he said.
"Alright," I said.
We went to the car and he drove back.
"Shall I drop you off home or shall I pick Ari up first?" He asked.
"Let's pick up Ariana," I said.
He drove to Ariana's primary school. He parked up and got out of the car. Minutes later, he returned with Ariana. Her two ponytails bobbed up and down as she walked.
She sat at the back as Tyler drove me home.
"So, what did you do at school today?" I asked her.
"Just some colouring but this guy told me he wanted to be my boyfriend," she said.
"Ooh, what did you say?" Tyler asked.
"I told him I'll be his girlfriend but with a space in the middle so I'd be his friend that's a girl," she said.
