I headed straight to the kitchen after I was ready. I didn't want to go to school today. I didn't want to face Tyler really. He's left me many miss calls and I haven't answered any of his calls as well. I was avoiding him.
"Come walk with me to school," Lilly said as she munched into an apple.
"Let's go," I said.
I grabbed an apple too and ate it on the way to school. My legs and arms began to tire on the way to school. I'm just getting so unhealthy. I hate dragging this bag and I hate carrying it on my back too.
"Lex, we're going to get late seriously hurry up," she said.
I picked up my bag and smiled at her. She knew what I was gesturing for her to do. She knew I wanted her to carry my bag. She rolled her eyes and carried my bag on her back as a backpack.
"Oh yeah, did Mum remind you that your appointment at the hospital is this week?" She asked.
"I think she told me in the morning but I wasn't fully paying attention," I said.
We were only a couple of minutes late to school. I walked to my class which was Science with Mr Pearson. He's going to be really annoyed because I am late. I wish I had walked a bit quicker.
I opened the door and walked to my seat.
"You're late," he said.
"I know, I'm sorry," I said as politely as I could.
"Not good enough because you've missed so much classes already," he said.
"Sorry," I repeat.
"Come back to me after school for detention," he said sternly.
"I..but," I began saying.
"No buts," he said.
After the lesson finished, I headed to my next lesson which was Maths. Thankfully, Kylie was in this lesson so it wouldn't be all boring. In the middle of the lesson, Mr Porter came in the class and he asked for me.
"Meet at the smoker's room at break?" Kylie asked.
"Okay," I said.
I closed my books and left. Mr Porter told me to follow him and I knew we were going to his office. As soon as we got to his office, he told me to sit down. I took a seat and nervously fiddled with my fingers.
"Do you remember a few weeks ago, I told you to pull your socks up and improve your grades?" He asked.
"Yeah," I replied.
"I can tell you've tried hard," he said as he handed me a piece of paper.
It was my updated report. I saw that my grades have improved a lot. I had straight A's for a lot of my subjects apart from Science and English. My Science was at a C which is okay and my English was at a B.
"Wow, I never expected this," I said.
"I'm proud of you Alexa, seriously you have truly done really well," he said.
"Thank you, how about Tyler?" I asked.
"He's done good too, he's working at B's and C's throughout all his subjects," he said.
"That's good," I said.
"That wouldn't have happened without you," he said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Tyler told me you revised with him a lot and you helped him in class with what he was stuck on," he said.
"When did he tell you this?" I asked.
