'The darker the night, the brighter the stars,' - Unknown.

The wind blew across, cooling down the warm atmosphere. Lilly and Landon held hands as they walked to Alexa's grave. Today would have been Alexa's 16th birthday. Lilly held flowers in her hand which consists of white roses and orchids - Alexa's favourite.
They walked to her grave and Lilly stepped forward and kneeled down. Lilly traced the gravestone with her hand. A tear slipped down her face; she had not fully grieved for the loss of her sister.
"I love you," she whispered as she placed the flowers onto the ground.
The wind blew more gently as the sun continued to shine brighter than ever. Lilly tried her best to push the pain away and talk about what she had done that week. She talked about school and that there was a memorial put up for her and Tyler. She talked about her friends and how they were being really supportive and helping her out. And she talked about how the fundraiser page Alexa made had £4760 donated.
Lilly kissed her hand before placing it on the gravestone and stood up. Landon then stepped forward and sat down crossed legged on the ground.
"Happy Birthday Lex, hope you're celebrating well up there with Tyler. Save me some cake or whatever heavenly food you're eating. I've started going school again but I always feel so empty just going in. It's not the same and it never will be. I'm thinking of moving schools; Mum wants us to move houses too for a fresh start. That means I won't get to see you much but we'll see what happens. I'm thinking of you and Tyler always ." Landon said.
He placed a kiss onto the gravestone and then stood up and stepped back.
"I hope I'm not interrupting anything," I voice said.
Landon and Lilly both turned around in a synchronised way. Kylie was stood there. The wind blowing her wavy hair back and her eyes blinded from the sun as she looked down at the ground.
"I thought you didn't want to come," Landon said.
"Lex was my best friend. I need to come and see her, especially today. I can't keep thinking about the past," Kylie said.
Landon gave her a small smile.
"Shall we wait?" Landon asked.
She nodded. Landon held hands with Lilly as Kylie kneeled down on the ground to say a few words to Alexa.
"Hi best friend, I miss you loads. Nothing is the same anymore. You've been my friend since I can remember and that makes it hard living life without you. I know I've apologised a million times but I have to tell you again; I'm so so sorry for not being there for when you left and passed away. I will never forgive myself. Happy birthday Alexa, you'll always be in my heart," she said.
She stood up and took Landon's hand who was already holding hands with Lilly and they walked together out of the graveyard where Kylie's dad was waiting inside the car. Kylie let go of Landon's hand and sat inside the passenger seat.
"Do you two want a lift?" He asked Lilly and Landon.
"No, thank you sir," Lilly said.
Lilly and Landon both walked to Lilly's house. They both made an agreement that they would both try to go into Alexa's room which no one has done ever since she passed away. It was too painful. They stood outside her room door, still holding hands.
Landon looked at Lilly and nodded as if to say 'ready' Lilly nodded back to confirm that she was ready. Landon placed his hand on Alexa's door handle and Lilly placed her hand on top of his as they both twisted the knob and let go as the door slowly opened. They both took a step in and took a breath in.
Their eyes wandered to the bed where the letters lay on the bed.
Maybe things weren't meant to be but always know that good always comes from the bad. Only in the darkness can you see the stars. What we once enjoyed and deeply loved, we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us. Death is not the greatest loss in life, the greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live.
One day you'll just be a memory for some people. Do your best to be a good one.

It can be about the characters, about what happens after, about the letters, about what happens next, about what happened in any of the chapters, about something you're confused about, about why I wrote this book, about the plot, about what I will write next. It can literally be anything.
Please leave your questions in the comment section or message them to me and they will be answered in the next chapter like I did with my other book slowly dying.
