'My body literally aches at the thought of not seeing you again,' - Unknown.

I woke up breathing extremely fast and heavily. Thank god it was just a dream. My hands were clammy as I realised I was holding Tyler's hand tightly. I looked at him. He was still unconscious."Hi Alexa," Mum said.
"I didn't see you there," I said.
"I just came, are you okay? What happened?" She asked.
"I don't want to talk about it," I said, knowing I'd just start crying.
"That's okay," she said.
"Dr Ray can fill you in," I said.
"He told me what happened but I wanted to know if you're okay," she said.
"I'm just tired," I said.
"Why don't you head home? I'll call Tyler's Mum to let him know he's here," she said.
"Don't do that, she won't even care," I said.
"The doctor's will have to, Tyler's 16 so his parents needs to know he's here," she said.
I didn't reply. The doctor entered the room. It wasn't Dr Ray but it was a different doctor. He gave us both a smile whilst examining the notes in his hand.
"Are you both family?" He asked.
Before I could say no, Mum quickly replied.
"Yes, we are," Mum said.
"Okay, when we were examining Tyler, we noticed a lot of bruising on his body and he has had some internal bleeding too, has he been in a fight or has he been assaulted recently?" The doctor asked.
"He's not told me anything," I said.
"We're going to have to get the police involved because of the severity of his injuries ," The doctor said.
It all came back to me. Everything that had happened yesterday.
"Why are you wearing a hoodie? It's boiling today," I mocked him.
"You might be hot but I am not," he said, rolling his eyes.
"Give me a piggy bank," I said, jumping onto his back.
Tyler hissed as if I hurt him.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'm good," he said.
"We forgot to water the flower," I said.
I rushed and grabbed the vase and emptied the water into the sink in the bathroom and I filled it up again before heading to my bedroom. I noticed Tyler crouched on the floor.
"Are you okay, Tyler?" I asked.
"Mhm, give me a minute, I've just overdone it in the gym yesterday," he said.
I should have noticed something was wrong. He was in a lot of pain and I should've been more aware. Maybe if I was, he would have been okay now.
"I'm going to take Tyler for some further tests in a bit, I suggest you to take a rest too, Dr Ray told me about your illness," the doctor said.
"I don't want to leave him," I said after a long pause.
"Why don't you go home and have a quick shower and get changed then come back, you can even have a quick nap too," Mum said.
"Okay," I replied in defeat.
"Great," the doctor said.
"I'll drop you off home," Mum said.
"Wait, does Ariana know that Tyler's in here?" I asked.
"I don't know, she's been staying at her aunt's house, that's all I know," Mum said.
"We should go see her and let her see him," I said.
"Some other time, let's get you home first and sorted out," she said.
I placed a kiss on his forehead before Mum took me home. When we arrived home, I showered and got changed. I didn't want to sleep because I wanted to get back to the hospital as soon as possible.
I blowdried my hair and left it out. Tyler said to me that I looked cute when I wore fake glasses so I found the pair and put them on. I was wearing black jeans and a white top that Tyler bought me a couple of weeks back.
"Something's wrong," I said, sensing something.
It might've been just my illness or something but I just felt something was wrong. Rushing down the stairs, I asked John where Mum was.
"She's just gone to the loo, anything I can help you with?" He asked.
"Can you take me to the hospital?" I asked.
"My workmate has got my car, I'm sorry Lex, wait for your Mum," he said.
I waited 10 seconds. I couldn't wait any longer. Before I knew it, I charged out of the door and ran the directions to the hospital. I knew the basic route. My lungs burned and my whole body was in excruciating pain as if I had been set alight and I could feel it everywhere but I continued running until my legs gave in and I held the lamppost to keep upright.
I tried to get up but I couldn't.
"Are you okay?" I heard a man say as he pulled down his car window.
"I need to go to the hospital," I said.
"I can give you a lift, I'm heading towards that area anyways," he said.
"Seriously?" I asked.
"Yeah, hop in," he said.
I eased myself to walk using the lamppost and I sat in the passenger seat.
"Let me guess, you have lung cancer?" He asked.
"How did you know?" I asked.
"My nephew had the same and she had an oxygen tank so she could breathe, she didn't make it," he said.
"I'm sorry to hear that," I said.
"It's okay, don't apologise, it's been almost four years now, tell me you're going to make it though, right?" He asked.
"I wish I was but no, I'm at stage four and the treatment is not working," I said.
"I can't even begin to imagine what you are going through, I'm so sorry," he said.
"It's okay, I'm just glad I have Tyler, he's been amazing and my family too have been really good too," I said.
"That's good," he said.
He drove to the hospital doors and I told him thanks before I left the car and headed inside. My heart was beating fast as I rushed down the corridors to where Tyler was staying. I opened the door and that's when I saw it. My legs couldn't hold me up as I slammed onto the floor and I cried and screamed as if there was nothing left in this world. My cries were heard everywhere.
