***"Did you guys have a nice time together yesterday?" Mum asked.
"Yeah," we all said.
"That's good," she said.
We all went to the living room and we switched on the TV. I was seriously regretting yesterday. I wished I never kissed him. Things will be so awkward when I go to school.
"I'm so bored," Lilly groaned.
"Why don't you guys go out again?" Mum asked.
She left some money for us and left the house along with John. I sat in between Ryan and Lilly. I put my feet up and took the remote from Ryan and put Criminal Minds on which was always interesting.
We heard a knock on the door and Lilly checked through the window to see who it was.
"It's Tyler," she said.
"Tell him I'm not here," I said.
"Why?" She asked.
"Just please do it," I said.
She went to the door and I could hear Tyler asking for me. She did tell him that I wasn't in thankfully. I wasn't ready to see him yet.
"Are you and Tyler okay?" Ryan asked.
"Yeah, we're good," I replied.
Ryan and I continued watching TV. Lilly came back into the room and switched the TV off and took the remote off me. She grabbed the money from the shelf and put on her jacket.
"Let's go," she said.
"Where?" Ryan asked.
"Mum always makes dinner for us so I think we should make her dinner for once," she said.
"I'm all for it," Ryan said.
"We have to go shopping for food first," she said.
"I'll stay at home," I said.
"Please come, Lex," Lilly said.
"I don't want to," I lied.
"Seriously, you'd rather stay at home by yourself?" Ryan asked.
"Yeah?" I said slowly but it sounded more like a question.
"Tell me what's wrong sis," he said.
"I'm just tired, what if I fall asleep in the middle of the store and you guys forget about me," I said. This was the worst lie I've come up with.
"I'll be there, nothing goes wrong with me around," he said.
"Wow, so big headed," I said.
He chuckled and we headed out to his car. Ryan drove straight to the nearest supermarket. We went inside and Ryan grabbed a trolley. I stopped the trolley and put my bag in it.
I attempted to get in the trolley. I used to be able to do this with ease but I just couldn't do it this time. Ryan picked me up and helped me get in the trolley and I thanked him.
After we bought all the food we needed, we headed home and started to make it. We already decided that we'd make pizza. There's just something with our family and pizza. We all love it and never get bored of it.
Lilly got out the already-made base for the pizza. None of us were pros at cooking and we didn't know how to make the base dough ourselves. I never was any good at Food Tech at school.
"Put tomato purée on it Lex," Ryan said, handing me the tube of tomato purée.
"Are you stupid?" I asked.
"Last time I checked, no," he replied.
"You're supposed to put cheese first then the tomato purée," I said.
"Are you stupid?" He asked.
"Last time I checked, no," I mocked.
"You're supposed to put cheese on second, right Lilly?" He asked her.
"Yeah, he's right Lex," she said.
I frowned at him whilst he wagged his tongue at me. How childish is he?! I grabbed the tube off him and opened it. I squirted a good amount on the pizza and spread it evenly using the back of a spoon.
"I've grated the cheese," Ryan said.
He sprinkled the cheese on top of the pizza and then got out the green pepper he bought. He chopped some of it off in small pieces and put it on the pizza. I put some sweet corn onto the pizza. Those were Mum's favourite toppings on a pizza.
Ryan put the pizza in the pre-heated oven and Lilly and I tidied up the counter top. After we tidied, we all agreed that Ryan would look after the pizza whilst me and Lilly washed the dishes. I washed the dishes whilst Lilly dried them and put them away.
Mum came back and the pizza was ready then so we quickly put it on a large plate and sliced it up. Mum came into the kitchen and she saw the pizza on the table. I poured a glass of fizzy water which was Mum's favourite drink.
"Did you guys make this for me?" Mum said, in awe of the pizza.
We all smiled and nodded. She sat down and ate a slice of pizza.
"Well I have to say it's delicious, try some," she said.
We all sat down and ate the pizza which was actually really yummy. Lilly and Ryan seemed to like it as well. After we did finished eating, Ryan and I cleared up the table and we all headed to the living room.
"I swear, I have the most gorgeous and cutest kids in the world," Mum said.
"Don't you mean handsome, Mum?" Ryan asked.
Mum rolled her eyes and shoved Ryan playfully. I sat on the sofa in between Lilly and Mum as Mum put the TV on.
I love my family.
