I felt a really bad ache in my chest as I woke up. I tried sitting up but felt a tug on my hand. It was then I realised I was in hospital and I saw tubes going to a drip. I saw that there was a hand holding mine. I looked up to see that it was Tyler's hand that was holding mine. He gave me a smile. On the other side was Kylie and Lilly.

"Don't get up, the doctor's going to come," Tyler said.

I shook my head fast.

"No, I want to go home," I said.

"You can't, the doctor needs to check you plus he's rang your Mum, she's coming in like 10 minutes," he said.

I groaned as I saw a doctor heading towards us.

"Hi, Alexa, I'm Dr. Ray, your boyfriend here told us that it looked like you had severe neck or chest pain before you collapsed. He said you've been coughing out blood but you have had that checked out at the doctor's and that you've been losing your breath easily when you're fit and healthy, is that right?" He said.

I remained silent.

"Okay, why don't you tell us so then we know what's going on and you're not in the dark?" He said.

I still remained silent.

"I want the best for you Alexa, so you cooperating would be brilliant," he said.

I never said anything.

"I've checked your medical records and it seems as though you haven't been to the doctor's but if you let me do some checks than we can find out if there is anything wrong with you," he said.

"I'm scared," I said.

"It's okay, Alexa, you never know it might just be nothing but whatever it is, we can deal with it together," Tyler said, squeezing my hand.

"Come on, Alexa," Kylie said, smiling.

I decided to just tell the doctor.

"In the past few weeks or many months, I don't really know how long, I've been losing my breath really easily and it takes me a long to catch it. I find it really hard to breathe at times. I've been feeling so exhausted lately and I literally sleep all the time even in my lessons so much that it's affecting my grades and I've been coughing out blood which scares the shit out of me but I wanted to forget about it so I could just pretend everything is okay," I said.

The doctor wrote the symptoms that I told him down.

"Oh yeah, I've been having really bad headaches too," I said.

"I think we should run some tests," he said.

"What kind of tests?" I asked.

"An X-Ray, blood tests and a CT scan," he said.

"Now?" I asked.

"A nurse will come in 10 minutes to take you," he said.

"Will Alexa be okay?" Lilly asked.

"We will be able to know more after the tests," he said.

"Can I take this drip off? It's creeping me out," I said.

The doctor chuckled and he took the drip off my arm and put it on the side. I sat up on the bed and talked to them all for a bit. Tyler told me that when I fainted, he got a teacher who got the principal who called an ambulance and that the students were worried for me. I got my phone out of my pocket and saw loads more text messages than usual.

"I need to go home now, text me what happens," Kylie said.

She hugged me and left.

Shortly after Kylie left, Mum came and sat besides me. She had come straight from work. Lilly informed her on what happened and Mum was, of course, really worried. Mum talked about work and how there was a dead body found in an isolated house and she was called there.
