Chapter 33

I got out of bed and put on a hoodie and leggings. I wasn't in the mood to get dressed up. I put on my flip flops and went downstairs. I ate breakfast and flopped on the living room sofa. I watched YouTube and checked my feed on Instagram.

I also watched Netflix for a bit and watched a few episodes of Teen Wolf. It's probably one of my favourite series on Netflix.

"You okay?" Mum asked.

"Yeah, I'm just catching up with a few things then Tyler's coming over to revise with me for our mocks," I said.

"That's good, I'm proud of you," Mum said.

John came in and sat next to Lilly on the opposite sofa.

"I don't know why but my boss gave me the whole afternoon off so I only have to go in till 12," Mum said.

John winked at me as if to say that it was him that made that happen. He must've rung her boss and told him to give her the afternoon off.

"That's really nice," I said.

"Yeah," she replied.

Mum went to work. John came to Lilly and I.

"When your Mum comes back, tell her that I'm taking her out to dinner," John said.

"Yeah, you can leave it to us," Lilly said.

John kissed Lilly and I on our forehead and he left to go work. Lily sat besides me on the sofa with her feet up. We watched TV together until Tyler and Ariana came. Lilly was going to look after Ariana and she didn't mind at all. I was going to revise with Tyler.

Tyler and I went upstairs to my room and we sat down and revised again. We revised for three hours till 1:30PM. Mum had come home and she had a shower because she said she was feeling hot.

"I'm going to work now and I'm taking Ari to her mates house," Tyler said.

"Alright see you later," I said.

"Bye,"

He left with Ariana and I tidied up my room and put all my books away. I went downstairs and sat in the living room. Mum came down with a pair of skinny jeans and a tank top on and she sat down on the sofa.

"I'm exhausted," she said.

She reclined the sofa and put her feet up.

"There's no time to rest Mum," Lilly said.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"John's taking you to the expensive Spanish diner tonight and we need to get you ready," I said.

"That's so nice of him, he shouldn't have though," Mum said.

"It's already booked out so we need to start getting you ready," Lilly said.

"It's only 2PM though," she said.

Lilly got out a face mask and opened it. She helped put it on Mum.

"We can watch TV for an hour but you have to keep the mask on and then we can start getting ready," Lilly said.

After an hour, we went upstairs and started to get Mum ready. First, we chose what outfit she would wear. I pulled out a red short dress that had diamonds embroidered all over the top. It looked gorgeous.

"How come I've never seen this dress before?" I asked.

"I wore it when I went to awards, it was when you were like 4, I won the best criminologist award," Mum said.

I remembered when she was telling me that.

"You should go to the next awards, you'll win it again," I said.
