Hell Rapture

Chapter 6

As Ash was working on the demon I thought it would be a good idea to explore her lab, I mean it's not like she wouldn't mind right?

I got up and walked around, there's something that I could tell about her just from looking around me.

She's isolated and very emotionless, that's something not all creatures want and yet she looks fine with being alone. Hmm something is not right with her... she can't be this calm not with whats going on around her...she's different and not in a weird way either

"You can come back and sit down, when you're done snooping around got it." I heard her say, turning around she still had her back towards me, so how can she tell that I was snooping? I made sure I was quiet.

"How did you know I was up?" I asked, curious of how she was able to know i wasn't by her side.

"Your breathing pattern changed and I couldn't feel your presence anymore."She answered smoothly. 

I sighed lowly and continued my search, her desk had no picture of any kind no family, no friends, not even a picture of a dog or cat.

everything is professional, papers scattered everywhere, a cup of coffee, and a computer. She's not really a people person from what I can tell. 

There was something in the air, something rotten and old, "Did something die in here Ash?"

"no why?"

"There is this decaying smell coming from the walls." i said following the small to a clean wall with nothing blocking it.

Ash came and lightly tapped a small area and it revealed a hidden room, and from that room came a disgusting smell and there laying on the floor was a  rotten skeleton of a human, "well that's where the smell came from, poor guy looks like he suffered."

"I didn't think that the demon would find him that easily, I mean you can barely see the outline of a door... so how did the demon find him?" she asked. I could see the wheels turning in her head as she thought as many possible scenarios of how a demon found this secret place.

How did a demon find my bunker? I was the only one who even knows that I made it in the first place... so how did it find it? Was someone watching me? was it the cleaning crew that accidentally opened the room? It doesn't look like the demon knew it was there...so how? 

"Ash? did you think of something or someone?" The prince asked me.

I shook my head and went back to the demon laying in pain. He may be a prince in the underworld and outside of the institute walls but In here, he's just nothing more than a person snooping into my business.

"How do you think it got passed your wall?" he asked.

"I don't know, that what i'm trying to figure it out myself" I said, killing the demon, ending it's life.

Wiping the table and the equipment clean and packing the last of the items in my lab, "We need to move, fast." grabbing a small device and walks out the institute, the prince following close behind me.

I thought we were far from the institute, considering

oh~ it seems that the secret that shogun was keeping from ash is still sealed shut i wonder what the big secret is about. stay tuned for more.
