Chapter 18

I sighed and leaned back against the lounging chair that was outside by the pool, Ash was in the shade reading a book and Rinko was swimming in the pool with Shogun, floating in the water, complaining that Rinko should stop splashing him.

I chuckled and watched as Shogun made his way over to Ash, dripping wet and smiling in front of her.

"Do you think he will hiss at him or move away?" Rinko asked, gripping the edge of the pool and looking at them with interest.

I shrugged, "More likely, hit him and move away."

"Well we can't have that now can we."

We turned towards the sliding door and there was Rose, standing there with all her glory.

"Rose!," he quickly got out of the pool and ran towards her, "It's so good to see you! It's been so long," hugging her tightly.

She grunted from the impact and tried to lean away from him, "yeah, it's good to see you too. Lyn, I see that you're still going single~" she cooed, Rinko letting her go and chuckling embarrassed that he got her clothes wet.

"Sorry about that Rose, " scratching his neck and looking away.

She smiled lightly, "it's fine, I was going to join you guys anyways."

"Single and proud, that's how I roll and you know it," smirking, giving her a towel.

She smiled and accepted the towel and glanced towards the two lovebirds, "I see that they have been getting closer since the last time I've seen them."

I nodded, "yeah they have been getting along for a bit, still they always seem to be arguing on the inside."

Rose hummed slightly and looked at them with a small gleam in her eye.

"Can't we just leave them be and enjoy this day!" Rinko asked, jumping in the pool.

Rose giggled and nodded, "just let me change and I'll be right there with you."

I groaned as I saw Shogun walk towards me, dripping wet and smiling.

"Come on, join us," he said, not letting that smile leave his face.

I groaned and just continued to read my book.

He pouted and snatched the book from my hands and right when it was getting to the good part too.

"Hey! Give that back!" I said standing up and started reaching for my book, but he just lifted it up more and out of my reach.

"Not unless you come and have some fun with us," He said, not moving.

I sighed and put my hands on my hips, "and what if I say no?"

He smirked and leaned closer, "I'll tell Rose of all the one-on-one's we've been having since we moved here~"

I looked at him like he was crazy, "you wouldn't."

"You and I both know that I would, now come and put on a cute bikini like Lyn and have fun," he said, finally putting the door in between us and smiling like nothing happened.

I hastily grabbed the book and walked into the mansion and into my room, mumbling how a fool I could've let him have the first hand.

"So I see that you'll be joining us in the pool am I right?"

I turned so suddenly and looked at the open door, there stood Rose in her White bikini and with a smile on her face. 

I smiled and hugged her, "Rose! when did you get here? how did you get here? did you track us? were you followed? why didn't you call me, I could've come and got you."

She chuckled and hugged back, "I wanted to surprise you but I didn't see you outside along with Shogun."

I stiffened and grabbed a towel and walked out with her, "Still I'd put everything down just to get you, you know."

She nodded and smiled, "I just wanted to put a smile on your face when I popped out for a small visit, how's everyone doing by the way?"

"They've been doing good, Lyn came by and Rinko is still blaming himself, Shogun is still the prince of the underworld, and I'm still on the higher-ups tail about the explosion," I said, opening the sliding door and letting her got through first.

"Well, that's all about to change," she muttered under breath as she jumped into the water, creating a splash.
