Chapter 19

I looked at them as they ate fruit and has a cool drink in their hand.

"You know, you should join them," said a light voice.

I rolled my eyes and looked at the computer screen, "and you should be here with us, having a good time."

She  rolled her eyes and shook her head, "after what I've done to them... especially Rinko, I don't think I'd want to face them ever."

I nodded my head and sighed, "you know that you'll have to come out from the dark and face them, they are starting to believe that you are dead."

She sighed slightly, "it's best if they did believe that I'm dead."

"You know things have changed, Rinko is a playboy now, Lyn keeps ghosting every now and then, and Rose is taking the matchmaking more serious considering that she couldn't get you both together before the incident. This has changed for the worse, no one here is the same as they were before." stating the fact.

She sighed and nodded, "I guess things have changed."

I smiled slightly, "we have a job."

"what kind of job?" she asked.

"One that we can't do without you," crossing my arms and giving her one of my wicked smiles.

She arched brow and gave me a look, "Hmm, and what if the others find out about me?"

I shrugged, "then they will be thrilled that you're not dead!"

She stayed quiet and twisted her dark brown hair between her fingers, "I'm intrigued, so what our next move?"

I smirked, "it starts with a little old candy shop here in Nice, France. I need you to go to the only candy shop here and work there for a couple of days."

She tilted her head slightly and gave me a funny look, "and why would I work at a little old candy shop for?"

"Well, Shogun has been going to a little candy shop for some time and I want to know why he's always going there! You know to spy on him for me," Sending her the location of the candy shop.

"And what kind of things should I be looking out for?" she asked.

"Whatever is out of his nature." Looking out the window, watching them have a good time.

She nodded, "you can count on me."

I smiled slightly at her, "I know I can... Raven."

"what do you think Ash is doing in there?" I asked, taking a sip from my pink lemonade.

Rose shrugged and looked at her wristwatch, "not sure but she's been in there for some time now. Do you think she has something to hide from us?"

Lyn scoffed and crossed her arms, "If I know my cousin well, which I do, is that she never does things without a reason. If Ash is keeping something from us, it must be from something either threatening us or something that will hurt us in the long run."

"Lyn is right if Ash is keeping something from us it must be important," I said.

Rinko rolled his eyes as Rose chuckled slightly.

"You're just agreeing with her cause you have a crush on Ash," Rose stated.

I looked away and pouted, "I do not have a crush on Ash."

RInko chuckled, "Of course you don't, we all don't see the look of adoration and affection every time she talks about something going on with the higher ups,"

"How am I hearing of this now?!" Rose said excitedly.

"Or how you always have the little twinkle in your eye and the slight spring in your step, everytime you follow her to the conference room?" said Lyn, giving me a teasing smile.

Rose squealed loudly and jumped in her seat, "Now the hell are you both not shaking the head right now?!"

RInko and Lyn busted out laughing, dropping their drinks and clutching their stomachs.

"It's not like that Rose, " Turning away, not wanting them to see my face getting any more red with each laugh, "and besides, I'm sure she has someone else in mind after all this I over."

I have seen many things in my life, but never as one where the Prince of the Underworld was turning red, but then again only those who are truly in love can make the other feel things they have never felt before.

"Shogun, believe me when I say this,  Ash has no one in mind, hell the only guys she has in her life are the ones that are right here," Rose said, leaning back and relaxing under the sun.

"She's right," RInko said pulling out his computer and typing away.

I shook my head and look at the two clowns, "Shogun, walk with me, " getting up and walking along the sandy path leading towards the forest.

I didn't bother looking behind me, I knew Shogun was following, looking everywhere but me.

"Do you know why Ash was is the Institution?" I asked, kneeling next to a pile of lilies and picking one up and looking at them lovingly.

He shook his head slightly and stood behind me.

I chuckled slightly and gave him a lily, "It's so she can find it."

"Find what?" he asked.

I looked at the sunny sky and smile, "she wants to find who she really is."
