Music. That's what was around us, how I missed the sound of music.

"Isn't this fun!" Rose screamed in my ear over the blaring music.

I nodded slightly and kept on eye on the prince, I'm not going to lie he did look good in dark jeans and a navy blue dress shirt with some nice shoes, Rose had around the house. It was a hassle to convince the pirnce of the underworld into human clothes bu none the less, Rose was the one to get him into some pants at least.

"He's a cute one, Ash why don't you dance with him?" Rose asked over the music.

I shook my head and took a drink, "I can't dance and we both know it."

She scoffed and put her hands on her hip with some sass in her stance, "Come on Ash when was the last time you had a little fun?"

"Hmm, colledge freshman year."

She groaned. "Come on Ash, let loose! You need to relax after that feasko."

"I can't dance to save my life Rose." I said looking everywhere but her.

Rose smirked and 'accidently' bumped into me and straight to the prince.

These clothes are very flexable to move in. I never knew how humans party was so fun. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Ash and Rose talking, Rose smirking and Ash looking away. As soon as I saw Rose move her hips and crashed into Ash, I quickly move to catch her.

"Are you alright?" I asked her, making sure she didn't get hurt.

Her checks were dusted with pink making her eyes standout even more than before.

"I-I'm alright." she said standing up straight.

I chuckled slightly and held out a hand, "what to dance?"

She looked at my hand and then to my eyes. "I...I can't dance."

I smiled slightly, "it's very simple even the most uncommon of creatures know how to dance, all you have to do is take my hand."

Ash was hesitant when she was about to take my hand, but with a reassuring smile, she eventually did.

"When I tell you I can't dance, I really can't dance." she said.

Grinning slightly, I held her body close and swayed slightly, "not if you move like this you can."

Ash was tense at first but she slowly relaxed and moved to the rhythm smoothly.

                                                                              ~'~

I snickered slightly as I watched the two strangers dance.

"And here I thought you said you couldn't dance."

Taking a swig of my drink.

"But then again, you do surprise me." smiling slightly.

Watching the two dance was like a beautiful moment that I wanted to last forever, but with what's recently happened, I'm afraid that this isn't going to last long.

I looked at them with sympathy, "oh Ash, if only things weren't so complicated I bet you two would make a great pair in another universe." I said looking at the stars, hoping they would answer my simple wish.

"Rose, come join us!" I looked at my neighbor and smiled a party one.

"I'm coming! I just needed a drink!"

"Well get your ass over here and dance with us!" she said moving her hips to the beat and laughing lightly.

I chuckled and looked at the pair one last time before joining my other friends for another night of fun.

A fun that I wanted to last forever.

But.

I knew.

That it wouldn't.

Last.
