Chapter 42

"Family?" I asked, confused about what she meant.

She nodded and smiled, "yes, you heard correctly, family. They are meeting us in a bit, we just got here a little bit too early."

Isabella nodded and looked at the menu and ordered for all of us.

"You see Raven, our family is very influenced in several branches, so they are very well connected," Paris explained with a small smile on his face.

I nodded and mentally took note of this to write down later, "So in the meantime what do we do?"

"Why don't we have a look around the city, I heard that It received an award of Civil Valor," Rinko said, looking at the restaurant.

Carmen smiled proudly, "I see you know your Knowledge about the city.

Rinko nodded and smiled, "Yeah, sometimes I know a little too much for the gangs' liking sometimes."

Paris scoffed, "there is no such thing as too much, not when it's against the world its not. Knowledge is power."

"I know, that's why I keep learning, cause Knowledge is power," He said, proud of the fact that someone is finally agreeing with him on something.

I sighed as I watch Paris and Rinko talk about history and science, I would join but I don't want to lose brain cells when the topic of knowledge is long forgotten.

I rose from my seat and walked out of the restaurant.

I didn't know where I was walking but I didn't care at the moment, I saw a bench facing the raging waters from down below and sat down.

I was to focus on the wave to notice that someone sat down next to me.

"It's a nice day to take a walk isn't it."

I nodded absent-minded and didn't look away, "yeah, it is."

"I see that I caught you at a difficult time," the person said sympathetically.

I quickly snapped out of my trance with the waves and faced the person next to me.

She was beautiful, with Raven-black hair, gorgeous tan, and mid-night blue eyes, she didn't look older than Carmen but not as young either.

"I'm sorry, is this where you go to get some time alone? I can move if you-"

She held her hand up and smiled, "I don't mind sharing this one time, so sit, I could use the company anyways," looking back to the ocean with a content look on her face.

I smiled slightly and looked at the waves too.

"There's something on your mind, isn't there," she said quietly.

I looked at from the corner of my eye, she didn't face me just continued to look at the ocean as if she didn't say anything in the first place.

I nodded, "yeah, I do."

She smiled, "mind telling me what it is about?" she asked kindly.

I smiled and shook my head, "not at all."

She looked me in the eye and nodded for me to continue.

I told her everything with what's been going on, from the very beginning.

She listened and never interrupted me, she made me feel like I could tell her anything, so I told her just that.

"I see, so you're jealous of her," she said, crossing her arms.

I nodded and looked down in shame, "you think it's ridiculous, don't you," I said in a small voice.

She laughed heartedly and shook her head, "On the contrary dear, I don't think that at all."

"You don't?" I asked confused and a little bit relieved.

"I don't, It's normal for a girl to be jealous of another girl," She said with a smile.

I smiled and nodded, "Yeah, your right, It's totally normal,"

She giggled and looked at her wristwatch with a shocked expression, "Oh my, look at the time I have a meeting with some family that is flying over here, well I hate to cut this short but it was very lovely meeting you, umm," She said the last part with a question.

I held out my hand, "Isabella, Isabella Knight, It's nice to meet you."

She smiled and shook my hand, "My name is Katherine, Katherine Coronado, Its nice to meet you as well."

We quickly parted ways. I barely made it our hotel before Raven and Rinko looked at me with worried looks and hugged me tightly.

"What the hell were you thinking!!!" Raven said with tears running down her cheeks.

Rinko just stayed silent and let tears fall, "you had us worried."

Confused I hugged them back, "what are you guys talking about? I've only been gone for a few minutes."

Carmen came from the kitchen with a scowl, "more like hours. Do you realize what time it is?"

I looked at my wristwatch and gasped silently, she was right it's been hours, I guess talking to Katherine was time-consuming than I thought.

"Hurry up and change into something formal, we leave in 2 hours, " Paris said from the kitchen.

I nodded and quickly showered and put on the dress they laid out for me, it was a baby blue strapless dress with a slit on the right, the material was floor-length and beautiful.

"Come on Isabelle we have to get a move on, " Carmen yelled from the other side.

I sighed tiredly as we waited for Isabella to finish.

The door quickly opened and closed, she looked lovely in a baby blue dress, just as I thought she would.

"Isabella! You look gorgeous!!" Raven exclaimed with the administration.

Rinko nodded in approval, "you clean up nice."

Paris and I had passive expressions and looked at the time, "come along children, they don't tolerant of improper manners." Paris said with a slight click of his tongue in annoyance.

Raven and Rinko nodded and Isabella looked away in dismay.

We quickly pulled into the limo and waited as we made our way to the villa.

I knew this was going to be a long meeting.
