Hell Rapture

Chapter 21

I'm walking late at night on the streets of Nice, France. What Lyn said to me, kept repeating in my head.

~Flashback~

Lyn looked at me with wide eyes and a shocked face, "Why-why would you want to know that?"

I shrugged my shoulders and looked at the trees as they swayed with the wind, "I don't know, I was just wondering what the feeling meant."

Lyn just sighed and sat down with me, tucking in her white sundress and leaning back against the tree.

"Is there something you want to tell me?" she asked lightly, not taking her eyes off the clear, blue sky.

"There is something going on with Shogun, he's been seeing someone I think and I've been having these strange feeling every time he leaves the mansion... what is this feeling?" I asked, my voice cracking slightly in the end.

Lyn stayed quiet, looking at me with empty eyes, "So it's finally taking effect, I see," smiling at the end.

I gave her a questioned look, "what are you talking about?"

Lyn gave me a slight chuckle, "well. there is something that we never got to tell you all and it's something we promised some very dear friends of mine, not to say anything until the time was right."

And with that, she got up, gave me a soft pat on the head and went back inside the mansion.

Leaving me with even more questions than ever before.

~Present~

"I see that you are also taking a midnight stroll in the city."

I didn't have to see who it was to turn around.

"And it seems that everywhere I go outside the mansion, you are always there, " I said, continuing to walk down the narrow street.

He chuckled slightly and walked next to me.

"what's on your mind?" he asked.

I shrugged and just looked forward, trying to ignore him as much as possible.

He stopped and grabbed my arm, stopping me from taking another step, "What's on your mind?" he asked one more time, but it was more like a whisper.

I sighed slightly and looked up at the night sky, "I don't know."

Shogun just looked at me and then lead me to an old looking pub.

Something is on her mind and I want to know what it is, so I lead her to an old pub Rinko told me about before I felt the mansion. I didn't expect to see her walking around the streets at night in a daze, she looked so lost and confused.

I lead her to a secluded area where no can hear us, I looked at her and gave her hand a soft squeeze, "you know that i there is anything you want to talk about, I am always here."

She nodded slightly and just didn't look up from the table.

A woman came by and set our drinks on the table not without giving me a wink and Ash a glare, walking away. I never liked those type of women, they always seemed more Into the trouble kind. Then again she was a demon, a succubus to be correct.

"Is there something you need to tell me?" She asked quietly.

I looked at her confused and shook my head, "No, why?"

She shrugged her shoulders and took the knife from the table across from us and looked at the surface, carved with graffiti and designs over the years by people, gangsters, and demons of all kinds.

I grabbed the knife from her hand and set it aside, "Talk."

Ash took a deep breath and spoke, "It all started when I sent to you out to look for any information on the higher-ups a couple weeks ago."

I watched them as they talked. I never go to something like this, I usually go to places with far more of a demonic vibe to it,  but since Ash asked me of this then I'd gladly do it.

"I don't understand why we have to be here?" he asked, slightly leaning away from the light that illuminated the area we occupied.

I rolled my eyes and shook my head, "we are here cause she asked me too, not that you being here was a welcomed invitation. Why are you here?" I asked, facing him and giving him a teasing smile.

He rolled his eyes and looked away, pink dust appeared on his pale cheeks, "It's none of your business."

"Come on Edward, you know you can tell me. Besides, we have nothing else to do, so tell me... why did you want to come?" I asked the last part quietly, keeping my eye on Ash and Shogun.

He sighed slightly and gave me a grin a grin I missed for a very long time, "I just love seeing the city lights at night that's all, and the fact that you are out of the house and outside in the world has me worried."

She shrugged slightly and just watched the two talk. I didn't want her to know the real reason to why I was here or the fact that My love was here in the city.

We stayed here for about a few minutes and then I just got up and left, Raven didn't need me to say anything to where I was going.

I stood in the sidewalk looked around and felt a demonic presence, so instead of confronting the demon I walked in a random direction and just kept a steady pace, taking different turns in hopes of losing it but, I couldn't lose it.

I stopped and sat on one of the benches facing the waters, "It's been so long since I've seen yo... my love."

She chuckled lightly sitting on the bench next to me but yet she feels so far away, "It's been too long, my dear. It hurts that we can't touch each other, feel each other... be with each other."

I looked at her as her green jade eyes shined in the moonlight, "The feeling is mutual, Lyn."

She looked away but not fast enough, a tear was shed and her eyes looked more lost then when I last saw them in person, "Why do we have to live like this?" she said quietly.

I gave her one of my Warm smiles, "Don't worry my love, the time will come when we can finally embrace one another."

Lyn gave me a sad smile, "Until then."

So here's what i wonder~ what are the secrets the others are hiding from Ash, they all have different reasons and for some reason, they won't have anyone know their secrets even if it kills them, I wonder how old they all really are? are Raven and Ash the only ones who don't know what's really going on?
