I burst through Lia's house, panting – due to the amount of the running I did. "Sweetie?" I heard some one yawn, but it was only Mrs. Layton, I looked up only to hear her gasp, she rushed down from the stairs "Honey are you alright? Why are you crying? Where's Lia?"
I felt suffocated with the amount of question she was asking, "Mrs. Layton, Lia is still at the party and... and I'm fine I just needed to come back here." I ignored the question on why I was crying.
She nodded, "As long as my baby is safe." I nodded, "She is, as Cameron is still there." I bit my lip hard to stop any tears from falling.
"Why don't you go to bed, I will be up waiting for Lia anyway so if you need me I'll be here."
"Thank you..." But as I was walking up, Mrs. Layton shouted my name, "I forgot to give you a message."
I furrowed my brows, "A message?" She nodded.
"Right... as you have been living here – not that I don't mind because I love having two daughters of such – Mrs. Jackson-" She hesitated, making sure she got it correct.
"Yeah, Mrs. Jackson phoned wondering how you are, and to let you know your mother is finally being discharged and that this weekend is your father's funeral. She would like to know if you are coming."
I sighed, shrugging nonchalantly.
I mean should I go? Would it benefit me, or Lorraine?
"I will think about it in the morning." I yawned covering my mouth. "Night Mrs. Layton."
"Night dear."
I sluggishly walked up the stairs, sighing nearly with each step I took. Reaching Lia's room, I opened the door and groaned to see clothes all over the bed, I felt like crying – why didn't we sort this out before we left?
Groaning, I just shoved the clothes all on the floor and plopping myself on the bed, slowly sinking into it and closing my eyes.
I need to forget tonight.
~~~
My alarm went off; 6:45 am. Groaning I reluctantly got up letting the cool air freshly travel up my legs sending a shiver throughout my body. As I threw the covers away and got up I heard a slight snort next to me.
Turning my head, I saw what looked like a wild Lia. Her hair was a mess, along with the smudging of her make-up.
I nudged her, only for her to whack my arm away; "Seriously Lia, you need to get up we have school."
The only response I got was a murmur. Rolling my eyes, I thought I can leave her a little bit longer whilst I went to the bathroom.
Only went I got up I was still in last night clothes, smelling myself, I quickly stripped and turn on the steamy shower.
Allowing the burning sensation of the water trickle down every inch of my body. Roaming every inch of my body.
Fifteen minutes later I got out and prepared myself for school – only I just tied my hair up into French braids. Now to wake Lia up.
"Lia..."
"Come on Lia, lets get up." I slightly shook her, "Yes, I would love that Jackson." She spoke.
Jackson?
Who the hell is Jackson?
"Lia... Jackson's waiting for youuu." I hummed, she suddenly shot up – along with head butting my nose making me stumble backwards, "Argh!" My hand shot up to ease the pain, but as I removed my hand I saw a red substance.
