It's been a week. A week full of hell.
On Monday; Ruby was laughed at, been pushed to the ground, food thrown her way. You name it, as I'm pretty sure it has been done.
"Lia, why me?" Lia shrugged, sighing; Lia felt helpless at this point. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have made you ask him. It's my fault." Ruby shook her head, "No I wanted to know too."
-
Tuesday; Ruby felt like she hit rock bottom. The constant stares. The whispering going on around her. It hadn't even been a week yet and she already felt numb.
"Don't you people have anything better to do?" She spat at them during one of her classes, they all went wide eyed, quieting their voices, but still carried on talking away thinking that Ruby couldn't hear a thing.
-
Wednesday; Ruby and Lia finished half of their day. Lia walked Ruby to her locker only to notice it was trashed. At this point Ruby wasn't shocked, she brought her hand up to the words tracing every single line of every single word.
S.L.U.T.
She knew it was true, she just didn't want to believe it.
Sighing, "I'll get the caretaker to clean it." Lia grabbed Ruby in a hug, "I'm going to kill who ever did this." Ruby pulled away from the hug, "No point. This type of thing will live on forever. We're in high school remember?"
-
Thursday; Olivia's turn and god did she make it a rollercoaster you wanted to jump off.
Olivia pulled Ruby into the corridor, partially in front of an audience, "So, I see you begged Lucas to love you?" Ruby's eyes widened. "Ex-excuse me?"
Olivia sneered, "Jenson, I think you heard what I said. You think because you were with Lucas for more than 5 minutes you automatically thought he would fall onto his knees in love with you. Well think again."
She chuckled, "Silly, silly girl. He. Doesn't. Love. You!"
Ruby chuckled as well, "I know." With that she walked away, slowly decaying with every step she took.
-
Friday; Jason found out, he found out his ex-lover wanted his best friend. He found Ruby with Lia who was trying to brighten her mood. Jason tapped her on the shoulder sending her direction to his.
"So, trying to hop on to my best friend now, are we? I thought I already had this discussion with you." Ruby couldn't believe the words which slipped out of his mouth.
"N-no i-"
"-You what? Wanting my best friend because I cheated on you? Wanting my best friend to get revenge? Well sweetheart, that isn't going to work. Sorry to burst your bubble." She stood there dumbfounded.
"But I guess you don't need me to do that considering Lucas already did it." Ruby was struggling for words.
"You know what Jason, after you I promised myself I wont ever love anyone ever again. After you, I closed my heart and wouldn't let anyone hurt me again. I thought I could love once and once and for all, but Lucas broke down my walls." Ruby didn't know what walls she was exactly talking about because it isn't as if they dated, or they had a happy love story.
"He wormed his way through my barrier, I tried hard to fight it. I really did, and now it seems the pair of you are turning out just like my father." Jason stood there, stunned by her words for once. But what Jason couldn't quite gather is as to why Ruby compared both Lucas and him to her father.
