"Red please?" I kept my back to him. I didn't want to see his face.

"Why?" I managed to breathe out.

"Why what?" I snapped my head around to him, "Why? Why do this again? Why act as if I'm a huge slut? Why go around saying that I'm sleeping with Cameron, why Lucas? Why?" I guess that's all I could say; why.

He made a 'O' shape with his mouth, "I-I don't know why I did that, but red you need to understand I was angry." I scoffed.

"Angry? You were angry?" I stepped forward, "Angry about what?"

"I was angry at the fact that Cameron is allowed to help you, but I can't!"

I fluttered my eyes, "A-are you serious? I never even once let Cameron in on what has happened, so don't you dare say I let him help. I don't even know the kid, so why in the hell would I tell him about your fucked-up game?"

I stepped further forwards; "You're sick in the head Lucas King." I nudged past him, walking away, but he grabbed my arm "No."

I yanked back, "No?"

"No, no you don't get to walk away from your problems. Yes, I've made a huge mistake-" I scoffed cutting him off.

"- but I'm trying to fix this, fix you." I bit my lip, "I've told you once before I don't need to be fix okay?" I got close to his face, "I don't walk away from my problems because you are my problem. You follow me everywhere, so no I don't run away from them. They just conveniently follow me about."

I sneered, walking away and succeeding this time. I stopped abruptly, turning my head over my shoulder; "What are you exactly trying to achieve from this Lucas?"

He shrugged, "Good, because nothing you can do will change with how much I hate you." I stated coldly.

Who knew both of us were cold-hearted.

Just before I turned the corner I heard a whisper; "I know, I know you hate me. I'm sorry..." I shook my head and didn't bother turning back.

Lunch soon arrived, and I met up with Lia "How are you feeling now?" We sat at a table and all I had in my eye sight was Lucas who seemed to be laughing with his friends. "I-I'm feeling okay, I guess."

"Good, because I was hoping we could go to one of the school's football games tonight?" I snapped my attention back to her, "Excuse me?"

She rolled her eyes, "Look please for me? Cameron will be there." She smirked, thinking that was going to do anything.

I thought about it for a while;

Would it be safe?

What if I get humiliated by Jason? Lucas? Olivia!?

Would I need dad's approval?

Oh god... dad, he would never let me.

What if it is one of the days where he doesn't come home? Then I remember it isn't. I won't be hurt for the second time today.

I saw a hand wave in front of me, "Hello! Earth to Ruby?" I shook my head focusing on Lia again, "Sorry what?"

"You zoned out." I sighed, "Sorry, I guess one game couldn't hurt." I shrugged, whilst she squealed. "Yay!"

I looked back over at Lucas, to see him already staring.

One game wouldn't hurt would it?
