Ruby

"Lia where are we exactly going?" I groaned, "Well... I thought I would get you an appointment with a hair stylist." I furrowed my brows, "I was planning on doing my own hair?"

She looked at me, "Sweetie, no." She shook her head. "What is so wrong with me doing my own hair?" She looked at me and smiled, and suddenly turned her head, "Oh look there is the store." With that she dragged me to the hair salon.

"Hello." Lia lightly tapped the desk with her finger, the receptionist looked Lia up and down, chewing her gun, "May I help you?" She finished her sentence with a bubble.

Allowing it to pop, I jumped. "Yes actually. I have an appointment for Ruby Jenson?" She raised a brow and looked down at her computer tapping away. "Yes, for 10 am?" Lia nodded. "Alright just take a seat in the waiting room."

"Thank you." Lia smiled annoyingly and pulled me to the waiting room. "Well, she was rude."

"Oh well, aren't they all." I said to Lia, in which she just agreed, "True." As I was about to speak, I was interrupted "Ruby Jenson?"

I raised my brows, "Yes?" A man came towards me, "You ready for your appointment?" I smiled and nodded, He started to walk in one direction and so I followed. "Have fun." Lia said.

~~~
After about 3 hours, I was finally finished, walking out everyone's heads were turned in my direction, I gulped. Lia came rushing up to me, "Oh my..."
"What? What? Does it look bad?" Lia's eyes fluttered, "No, you look gorgeous. Haven't you seen yourself yet?" I shook my head, she pointed to the mirror behind me, as I turned around my anxiety was building.
Was I going to love it?
Would Lucas love it?
Lucas...
I gasped, "Thank you." I smiled at both Lia and Michael – the hair stylist.
At the top of my hair, there was a large plait cascading down my head into a bun which sat in the middle of my head, alongside that a flower clip was keeping it together.
Whilst Lia went off to pay, I stood by the door looking out into the mall only to spot a familiar face – or should I say faces. Lucas and Olivia.
What the hell are they doing together? I crossed my arms and furrowed my brows, following their every move. As I watched them walk into one particular store, my throat instantly closed.
I quickly spun around and went straight to Lia, "Are you done yet? I want to leave."
She seemed to be confused at my sudden mood change. "Sure, we can go." I sighed and just walked out, whether Lia followed or not. I just knew I needed to leave.
"Ruby! Hey Ruby, will you slow down?" Lia came rushing up next to me, "What the hell was that back there?" I wanted to tell her, but the words wouldn't form in my mouth. I couldn't form a proper sentence.
I shook my head, "It doesn't matter." Lia stopped right in front of me, "If you think I am going to believe that for one bloody second then you need to re- think who you are talking too." She crossed her arms.
I sighed, "Fine... I-I saw Lucas-" She tutted, "-Okay and how does that explain why you are miserable?"
"Well if you let me finish, you would know." She nodded, "Sorry. Carry on."
"As I was saying, I spotted Lucas with-"
"Red?" I sighed, will I ever get to speak? "Lucas?" I turned to look at him, whilst my arms were crossed, however when I turned around he was alone. "At the mall alone? Surly you would bring someone right?" He gulped, scratching the back of his neck, "Oh, yeah I did."
