Ruby

3 weeks past.

I was currently sitting on the couch binge watching some werewolf show on Netflix, unfortunately for me I wish had a mate and I connected instantly with them. Werewolves are more loyal than humans.

"Ruby! Can you help with the shopping please?" I heard Marie shout. Yeah, she insists I call her Marie.

"Yeah, hold on!" I paused the show and sadly getting off the couch, which bare in mind was so comfy, slowly I made my way to the front door leaning against the frame with my hands in the pockets of my joggers, "Which bags would you like me to take?"

She looked at me and smiled, "These ones dear." Pointing to the ones by her feet, I nodded and got off the frame walking to grab the bags.

"Ruby?" I shot my head in the direction of the voice, "Lia?" This was the first time we have spoken since she found out about me being expelled from school.

It began when she got home too...

3 weeks ago;

"Ruby! Get here now!" I groaned walking down stairs, "What?" Lia was standing at the end of the stairs with her arms folded.

"Really?" I raised my brows, "Really what? It wasn't me." She bit her lip, "Then the internet lies, does it?" I furrowed my brows, "What has any of this got to do with the internet Lia?"

She rolled her eyes, "I seriously can't believe you lied to both Lucas and I. Pretending you didn't threaten Olivia when that was clearly your hand writing!"

My mouth flew open, "You are serious right now? You are believing Olivia over me?" I started to walk down the stairs, "Please Lia, you can hardly talk when you threatened to kill her!" Lia shook her head, "But what you said is different, and after the problems Olivia has caused you..."

"I seriously can't believe you."

"I seriously can't believe you too."

And after that we haven't spoken until today. "Can we talk?" I shrugged, "No, not now." With that I picked up the bags and walked to the kitchen. Sighing I went back out there, "Do you need any more brought in Marie?"

"No, it is okay dear." She walked past me and whispered, "I think you two should talk, she has something she has to say to you." Huffing out, I walked to where Lia was sitting which was the step in front of the door, so I went and lent against the door frame, folding my arms.

"You wanted to talk, so talk." She cleared her throat, "I'm sorry." I raised my brows, "Is that it?"

"No, I'm sorry for believing something which wasn't true in the first place. I'm sorry for believing the internet over my best friend. I'm sorry I allowed you to go through all of this by yourself." I nodded my head, "Well you can't take back what you said though?"

She stood up and looked at me, "I know that for fuck sake Ruby-"

"Language Aaliyah Rylie Layton!" Lia Sheepishly smiled, "Sorry mom." She then turned her attention back towards me, "As I was saying, Ruby I know straight away Olivia put those threats towards herself. As I heard about it, I went straight to the Principal and he is dealing with her."

I nodded, "Well thank you for that, but doesn't mean anything." I went back inside, as well as Lia following, "I'm still expelled, and I still can't go prom." I sighed, plopping myself on the couch.

"Oh... yeah, I forgot to mention... you can go prom." I raised my brows, smiling, "You serious?" I choked out, she nodded jumping on her, "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Squeezing her in a hug.
