Ayla's P.O.V

"Hunter where are we going? We're almost to the end of our boarders! It's not safe there are rogues still on the loose!" I shouted after Hunter as he jumped over a huge log blocking the footpath that led deeper into the woods.

We have been walking on foot for over 2 minutes now, we had started running on paw for about 3 minutes so altogether we have been walking/running for a total of 5 minutes. Ok! Not to complain but this is like Hunter brought me out here just to train or rather exercise! This is so not what I was expecting, I honestly would rather be back in my office couch sleeping than doing this!

"Hunter? Hunter!" I called out yet again while Hunter continued acting like he did not hear me calling his name for the millionth time.

"We're here" I barely heard Hunter as I caught up to him.

"You-.........." I was cut off as I stared at what he was looking at, it was a waterfall that surprisingly I had never seen before.

"What the? Is this real?" I asked breathless as I listened to the way the water splashed into the pool.

"Yes....... Do you like it?" Hunter asked me, turning to face him I came face to face with him. Hunter looked away with pink cheeks embarrassed that I caught him staring at me.

"Of course I do! But............... where did this come from? I have never seen this waterfall before?" I asked turning my gaze back to the waterfall.

"I have no idea. Remember the first day I came? That was the day I came past this waterfall, I actually wasn't sure if you had seen it or not but when I came here one night before the sight of the waterfall looked amazing under the moonlight so that's why I wanted to show you. I wanted to show you how beautiful you are! Look at how the moonlight makes the waterfall look magical, that's exactly what I see when I look at you" I gazed into Hunter's eyes as he poured out every word like he was speaking to the love of his life which is ridiculous since I've just known him for like a month or two.

"Hunter...... I don't know what to say" I spoke out unsure of what else to say.

"You don't have to say anything Ayla your beautiful smile is all that I need" Hunter showed me his full set of teeth as he smiled at me.

"Thank you! Now since you brought me all the way here how about we go for a swim?" I asked smiling back at Hunter.

"I thought you'd never ask" Hunter laughed a little before sending a wink my way.

I pulled off my t-shirt and zipped down my shorts stripping myself from my clothes but leaving my undergarments on, Hunter on the other hand was taking his shirt off as he dropped his shirt onto the ground he turned to me.

"You take the lead, I'll just be right back" I looked at Hunter giving him the look as if to ask where he may be going, the look he gave me back all too suddenly was of the type 'I need to relieve myself duh'

Giggling slightly I nodded before jumping into the pool down below. Rising up to the surface I move my arms and start to doggy paddle just to keep me above water, looking up at the spot I had just jumped from I look to see if Hunter is there or still not. He wasn't standing there deciding to give him some time I stopped my legs from moving and maneuvered myself into a lying form making me float above the water. As I lay there under the beautiful moonlight I listened to the rush of the falling water this felt really good, trying to strain my hearing to listen to footsteps that may belong to Hunter or to hear a cricket at least. To my surprise the woods tonight was very quiet, too quiet actually. Starting to get worried I decided to get out of the water to look for Hunter, I swam to the bank of the waterfall and pulled myself out of the pool. I walked up the side of the waterfall and in no time reached the spot I last saw Hunter before jumping into the pool.

"Hunter?" I called out into the quiet forest as I walked towards the path his scent was coming from.

"Hunter?............ Hunter?" I called out again only to be answered by complete silence.

"Arghhhhhh!" I heard a shout come from where Hunter's scent was leading me.

"Hunter! Hunter!" I ran as fast as my legs could carry, unfortunately what welcomed me was a sight I was not expecting to see. Hunter was on the ground holding his arm that had a big chunk of flesh missing from it, looking to the ground beside him I saw the piece of flesh sitting there surrounded by a pool of blood. This caused me to growl out in anger, I could feel my wolf wanting to take over, wanting blood as she did not like seeing anyone of her people hurt. All I could see at this point was Red and that was all I wanted as much as I wanted to go hunting I had to help Hunter.

"What the? Oh my gosh Hunter......... What? Hold on I'll take you back" I helped Hunter up and pulled his weight onto me as I guided him through the dark quiet woods. Looking at his arm I could tell a wolf had bitten a chunk out of it and considering how the air smelt I could confirm it was rogues that had attacked him but because he was bleeding badly I couldn't chase after the rogues besides they must have already been long gone.

Attempting to be gentle with Hunter and his wounded arm I mind linked Beta John to send out patrols to the boarders of our territory. These rogues are really getting on my nerves now they need to be killed before anyone of my people would pay the price again. Upon reaching the palace two guards spotted me and ran to help me.

"Your majesty! What happened?" One of the guards asked as he took Hunter from me.

"I think Hunter was attacked by a rogue! Take him to the infirmary!" I commanded as I mind linked the pack doctor to make his way there as Hunter needed help immediately.

Following the guards that were holding Hunter we entered the infirmary and they placed Hunter down gently, Hunter lay still on the bed if it wasn't for his chest moving up and down you'd think he'd be dead. Shit! If I didn't go looking for him who knows how long he would have lasted? How much blood he would have lost?

He couldn't even call for help, because Hunter hadn't been initiated into the pack he couldn't mind link me when he was in trouble. This is all my fault! I knew that these times were dangerous, I should have initiated the new members before but I was distracted by the rogue problem and had forgotten. But no more! I'm going to initiate all the members tomorrow in that way we would all be connected and if they were in trouble we'd know and would be able to save them in time.

~Mind link~

"Beta John"

"Yes your majesty?"

"Prepare for the initiation ceremony, we'll be adding new pack members tomorrow"

"Yes Your majesty!"

~

After tomorrow none of my people will be without help and every rogue I come across will feel my Wrath!
