"Nope. She's just an amazing friend, you'd like her a lot," he said.
"Huh?" I said looking at him. What did he mean?
"Nothing, bro," he said without looking at me,"Gonna miss you! Visit Mumbai sometime."
"Sure!" I said with a smile.
We almost reached the bus stop when we stopped talking. I was gonna miss him. He's like my real brother, even more than that. I gave him a hug before he took a seat on the bus. I waved at him and when he left, I just took out my iPod, put my earphones in and played the first song on the device, Zayn's 'Let Me'.
I walked back home, it took almost half an hour to get to home, it was around 8:00pm when I buzzed in.
I went to the kitchen to get some water, Mom was cooking something and dad was preparing the salad.
"Jai, Danny left?" my dad asked looking at me over the counter.
I closed the refrigerator, gulped down some cold water and said, "Yeah!"
"I miss that boy already," mumma said not raising her eyes from the pan.
"Me too," accompanied my dad.
"Same," I joined in.
He's a year younger than me but is so much mature than I am. He has already seen a lot in life, he lives alone with his mom in Mumbai, as his father passed away when he was just 5. Even though it's such a big city to live in, they still don't ask us for any favour. His mom and my aunt, Suman, is an amazing woman, she is the strongest woman I've ever come across.
"Mum! I'm gonna sleep now. I'll skip today's dinner," I said while yawning.
"But son-"
"Please, I'm so tired."
"Okay!" mom finally said with nothing but frustration.
"Thank you mom, love ya!" I said as I left the kitchen.
I went upstairs to my room, I found Riya there with her maths book. She was doodling something, I knew she wanted to clear her doubts regarding the subject but I was way too tired to even hold a pen.
"Not today, please!" I said as I covered my face with both my hands.
"I have a test tomorrow, you gotta help me!" she said irritatingly.
I just wanted to sleep.
"I'll explain it to you tomorrow morning, Riya," I said.
"Ugh! Okay! I wish Danny bhaiya was here!"
"Same," I said the second time tonight.
She left and I landed myself on my bed, is there anything better than sleeping when you are this tired. I fell asleep in an instance.
I was startled by the morning alarm, I really wanted to sleep so bad but God! School!
I got ready in about 30 minutes, couldn't care less about how I look!
Trisha's POV
When I saw Jai in the morning assembly, he looked amazing as always. How does he manage to look so amazing?
Kanak was pissed off as usual and scribbling something down on her notebook, for a change, I went to sit beside her. Why am I acting so wierd, lol?
When I went to take the empty seat beside her, she looked at me with confused expression.
"What?" I asked with a genuine smile.
"Oh nothing, wasn't expecting you."
"Hmm. Well, what's up with you and him?" I said calmly as I started placing my notebooks on the desk.
"I don't know, it's super complicated," she said as she tried to control her tears.
I knew that she felt for him. I don't want to let him go. But, she might deserve him.
I took a deep breath and said something that a fool would say in my position,"Talk to him. Talk to him."
She nodded her head for a yes, I smiled at myself.
Very mature, Trisha!
You guys make me so happy and I love to write for you guys
