I woke up and looked towards my clock. My eyes grew as I saw the time. It was 7:20. School was starting in ten minutes.
I jumped out of bed and zoomed towards my closet throwing my jeans on and a t-shirt that said 'Crazy Me!' on it and then zoomed into the bathroom brushing my teeth and using my telekinesis to brush hair and do a messy bun.
I zoomed downstairs, grabbing a banana, and zoomed outside to see Cameron's car gone.
"He left me."
I smirked. This was a perfect opportunity to use my super speed at full force. I raced down the road going at full speed, making sure I went fast enough for people not to see me, with my hair whipping in the wind.
I arrived by the school and stopped just before so that I could walk the rest of the way.
I got into the building and saw Amber and Jenna watching something very intently. I frowned and walked up to them with a bright smile.
"Hay guys." I said, breaking their attention.
"Hay Lex- Woah, your eyes look weirdly blue today." Jenna said with big eyes. I frowned and realized how stupid I was to use a power before seeing people. My eyes change to a more vibrant blue the moment I use my 'powers'.
"Anyway, what you guys checking out?" I asked, following where their eyes were looking.
"Why Cameron?" I asked frowning.
"You are so blonde, even though you have red hair, which by the the way, I am super jealous of." Amber said, continuing to stare at my brother.
"Okay then." I sang and moved towards Cameron.
"Hi Cameron." I said, giving him a smirk and continued to walk as his eyes grew bigger at the sight of me.
I walked to the bathroom, not wanting anyone to see my abnormal blue eyes.
I got to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. I hate this. Why can't I just be ordinary, not extraordinary?
I breathed deeply and closed my eyes as I tried to calm myself down. I opened them again and they were nearly back to normal. I turned my hand invisible and touched the basin making it disappear.
I giggled and let go, turning my hand back to normal. I found it really strange that only my hand would do that, but when I was younger it was just my finger and slowly it grew until it was my whole hand, but then it stopped there.
I was feeling a new kind of energy today and I just wanted to pick everything up with my mind. I had only really trained a few times. Its hard to train when you have family in the house and you don't really want them to know about your powers...
An idea came to my mind and I smiled to myself before walking out the bathroom. I wanted to go home so I could train with no one at home, it wasn't hard for me to learn work so skipping one day at school wouldn't be a train smash, I couldn't injure myself, because it would heal instantly, so I decided to play sick.
"Lexi!" I heard my name and turned around to see Kate. I kept my face straight trying to pull this act off.
"You ok?" She asked, looking into my eyes. They must still be a bit odd considering she was frowning at my eyes.
"I don't feel so great. I'm going to go home." I lied, with a sad look.
"Ok. Well class is going to start soon. Do you want me to come over this afternoon?" She asked, walking me to the door.
I shook my head and replied, "No, it's ok." I gave a weak smile and Kate hugged me tightly.
"Love you blue." Kate said. That was our nickname for me because of my eyes.
"Love you too Blonde," I said as I walked out. I looked around and didn't see any one in sight. I felt the excitement come back and I raced back home, timing myself.
12 seconds. "Not bad," I said, looking at my watch as I entered the house.
I felt like training for some reason. I went out to the backyard and put some things in order from lightest to heaviest.
The heaviest object I have ever picked up was a kiddies chair and I was excited to make my telekinesis stronger.
I started off with a light rock, throwing it high in the air for fun. I smiled and moved on to the next object. It was my accounting book and it was a heavy book that I had to carry day to day.
I picked it up with ease and put it down again. I moved on to the kiddies chair I had picked up last time and didn't struggle in the slightest. It was pretty cool.
I smiled at my success and tried picking up the garden table. It wasn't that hard, but I had to concentrate a bit harder than with the chair. I dropped it slowly and jumped up and down in excitement. This is cool.
Should I uproot the tree? Dad will be furious though. I could say it just fell down, but I think Cameron is on to something.
I sighed and looked around for something heavier. I saw a person walking and so badly just wanted to pick the person up in mid air.
"Wait a second..." I said to myself.
"I could try myself?" I whispered to myself. I was a little heavier than the plastic garden table, but I'm sure I'm not by much. I breathed deeply and closed my eyes, concentrating very hard on trying to lift my figure into the air. I opened my eyes again and I was about thirty centimeters off the floor. I smiled brightly, trying to keep the concentration, until my phone rang breaking my momentum and making me fall to the floor causing pain to shoot up my legs as I hit the ground.
"Oww."
I used my mind to bring the phone to me.
"Hallo?" I asked.
"Lexi, where are you?" Cameron's voice rang through the phone.
"I wasn't feeling well." I said, trying to not sound like I was lying.
I heard him sigh and he just ended the call.
I frowned and shrugged, putting my phone down on the table.
I sighed and walked into the house and up to my room. I flopped down on my bed and closed my eyes for a little while.
My phone beeped and I picked it up.
Kate: New guy in year 12, from England and beyond hottt.
I chuckled lightly at her description.
Me: Will have to see on Monday.
I pressed send and threw my phone next to me.
I looked over at the clock and saw Cameron would be home in about twenty minutes.
I heard my phone beep again.
Kate: Lexi! Oliver is taking me out tonight.
Kate texts me all the time about what they are doing and when Oliver takes her out. It's so cute.
"I'm home Lexi." I heard Cameron shout.
Cameron walked through my room and frowned.
"Hi," I said, flipping through a magazine.
"Lex, you can't just skip school if you are not feeling well." Cameron said, walking towards my bed.
I looked up at him and sighed,
"Cameron, it's not like I'm getting bad marks or anything. Gosh." I said in a frustrated tone.
Cameron rolled his eyes and walked towards my door.
"Do you know when dad is getting back?" I asked, just as he was about to leave.
"He left for India. He will be back before Wednesday, when it's your birthday. Ok?" Cameron reassured me, in case I would be upset.
I nodded and flipped the page of the magazine. I picked my phone up again and replied to Kate.
Me: That's great. Have fun, and don't kiss him too much. <3
