The Dinner

The whole weekend I was on cloud nine and luckily Cameron was cooped up in his room because he would of noticed the second Kade left Friday night.

Kade went away for the weekend and the week so I couldn't spend time with him, I only wanted to spend time with him and I didn't feel like spending time with my friends. So I spent the whole weekend doing a project that was due in three weeks, I studied for tests and did homework because I didn't do it on Friday.

So in one word my weekend was 'boring'.

Monday wasn't so great either, Kade wasn't at school, so I had to walk to school which I don't really mind but Kate was also absent with the flu, she stood in the rain for half an hour on Friday afternoon because her car door wouldn't open and then she had to walk all the way back in the rain to find shelter.

So she was very sick, so I had to hang out with Jenna and Amber, sort of as the third wheel.

Same thing with the rest of the week, it was officially the worst week and to add to things Kade had no signal wherever he was and he couldn't text me.

I missed him terribly and I felt guilty because Kate never knew, in fact no one knew, not Cameron or even my dad.

The only good thing about this week was that my dad was home, he even picked me up from school one of the days which was a first.

Well it was Saturday today and I was half sleeping on the table while I ate my breakfast. I was planning on making my relationship public considering it had been a week, I had organized for my dad to meet Kade's parents for supper tonight considering they got back last night.

"You ok?" Cameron asked sitting at the table with me.

I nodded and put another spoon of musli in my mouth.

Cameron was better now and would be going back to school on Monday considering he was off for a whole two weeks.

"You're nervous?" Cameron guessed still watching me eat my breakfast and lie on the table.

I nodded and Cameron frowned, "why?"

"I have to tell dad that Kade and I are dating," I muttered not really thinking because I was still practically sleeping.

"What!" Cameron shouted which made me jump causing a headache to form. Why was I so... I don't know... hungover?

"You are dating! Since when?" Kade asked a bit softer, thank goodness.

"Last Friday," I whispered and then yawned.

"And why don't I know about this?" Cameron complained.

I rolled my eyes and got up from the table, ignoring Cameron and taking my plate to the kitchen.

I went upstairs and checked my phone, no message whatsoever.

I threw my phone on my bed and face planted the bed.

It was ten o'clock and I was extremely exhausted! My head was pounding! I had no clue why!

I closed my eyes and I let sleep take over.

I could feel that I was being shaken but sleep had its hold me.

"Lexi!" Someone shouted.

I groaned and turned the other way.

"Lexi you need to get up it is three in the afternoon." I heard Cameron say.

I muttered some few choice words before opening my eyes.

"Go away," I mumbled.

Cameron grabbed one of my arms and pulled me off of the bed. I landed with a thump on the floor.
