I snuck out of the hospital, it was just after ten o'clock and dad had fallen asleep next to Cameron's bed.

In a way I was excited but I was also furious. Kade hadn't told me!

I zoomed to his house not caring about my eyes considering he knew.

I arrived there and banged on the door.

The door opened and I saw Gerald, Kade's dad.

"Lexi? Are you alright?" He asked frowning,

"Yes, I'm looking for Kade," I said quickly, trying to look over his shoulder.

Gerald sighed and let me go past and into the house.

I ran up the stairs and towards Kade's room. I banged on the door to his room demanding that he let me in.

The door finally opened and there stood Kade, his eyes wide. He wasn't expecting me.

"Lexi?" He said looking confused.

"What the hell happened this afternoon Kade!" I shouted.

Kade was speechless. I sighed and held the bridge of my nose.

"Kade, please, I just want to know everything, what have you been hiding and things like that." I said a bit more calmer.

Kade sighed and stood aside to let me inside of his room.

"Take a seat," Kade whispered and I crossed my legs on Kade's bed.

"So you obviously know that I am exactly like you right?" Kade asked moving towards his bed.

I nodded, "Yes, found out today when you healed my brother in the middle of the road." I said a bit annoyed by the whole situation.

Kade sighed again, "Ok well, what do you want to know?" Kade asked.

"What powers do you have?" I asked confidently,

"The one I was born with was mind reading and telepathy, it started off small but increased when I turned seventeen. I can hear and see everyone's thoughts and memories, except for yours. Then I got healing other people and anti-gravity." Kade said, I nodded, "You have three and I only have two?" I asked,

"Yes, you will get your third one once you have learnt to control the breathing under water-"

"Wait... how did you know that," I asked frowning.

"Lexi, my dad is into this stuff and we can tell the signs of different powers forming, like the day in the park when you couldn't breathe properly, I messaged my dad and I gave you water."

I nodded, this was a lot of information to take in.

"So that's why your mom..." I trailed off not wanting to finish the sentence.

"Yeah," Kade said a bit sad.

"So why can't you read my mind?" I asked,

"Over time I have been able to tell what you have been feeling but your mind is stronger because you are just like me, I could probably talk to you in your mind though." Kade said, I nodded and it was starting to all make sense.

"I thought I was the only one like this," I whispered and then realized something, "Kade?" I asked softly,

"Yeah?" he said looking from the duvet to me.

"Do you still like me, or was it just for the power stuff?" I asked softly, not wanting to make eye-contact with him.

"No, of coarse not Lex, I started falling for you before I figured out that you were like me." Kade said and then chucked a bit.

"When did you know?" I asked,

"When you fell out the bushes outside my house and your eyes were that odd blue from running here." Kade laughed at me and I relaxed a bit, "Why didn't you tell me?" I had so many questions.

"I didn't know how to and my dad said I shouldn't, I don't know why?" Kade shrugged and his face went a bit sad.

"Lexi, my dad needs to tell you something, it's important." He said and got up from his bed and opened the door. I nodded and hurried off of the bed and out of the room into the passage way.

We made our way down to the kitchen where Gerald was drinking some coffee. He looked up and his glasses were drooping.

"So you figured it out." Gerald said smiling at me, I nodded uncomfortably and sat down at a bar stool.

"Lexi, you need to be careful with who you tell this too. I suggest you don't tell anymore people than you already have." He said getting straight into the topic.

"Only my brother and Kate know." I said softly.

"Good, there is a secret organization in this world that kill types like you and Kade, they think everything happens for a reason and they don't need our powers to help them. So if they find out who you are then they will kill you. I suspect your father is one of them, he travels a lot right?" Gerald asked me, I nodded and he carried on, "I am not confirming it but when you guys were round for dinner he eyed Kade very carefully throughout the dinner."

"That's why he doesn't want me dating you," I whispered, the pieces falling into place.

"But I'm right under his nose and he hasn't picked up anything?" I said frowning,

"It's because he has been living with you, we don't pick up small changes in people." I nodded and Kade handed me a cup of coffee, "Thanks." I whispered and took a sip of the delicious warm liquid.

"What else do I need to know?" I asked as I put my cup down onto the counter.

"You need to train, your third power will be coming shortly and you need to train to keep it under control so it's not so obvious, you also need to be careful and keep Kade close as often as possible, also because Kade healed your brother they know what he is so the next few days Kade will be acting a bit different to throw them off, Kade's done this multiple times so don't stress about him." I nodded and Kade gave me a reassuring smile.

"I think Lexi needs to rest dad." Kade said as I leant my head in my hand.

"Yes, she took quiet the beating today," Gerald said and took my empty cup.

Not even the coffee was helping me, the events of today were catching up with me and I felt my body start to slip into sleep even though I was still sitting on the barstool.

Kade brought his arm around my waist and underneath my legs, he picked me up and took me upstairs.

Even though I wasn't walking or using any muscle in my body they ached like hell especially my hands.

"Do you want to spend the night here?" Kade asked and I nodded slightly.

Kade put me down on his bed and I quickly took my shoes off before Kade pulled the duvet over me.

"Night Lex," Kade whispered and kissed my forehead before turning off the lights.
