Feeling Happy

I walked through the halls on a hot summer's day. At least it was Friday and tomorrow was Saturday.

I arrived at my locker and sighed. I had two more subjects and one of them was accounting!

I grabbed my accounting books and my maths books and put them in my bag, but with my luck, my bag ripped apart making everything fall on the floor.

Students walking past laughed at me causing me to blush in embarrassment. Ignoring them, I knelt down and started picking up my books and pencil case that had scattered all its belongings everywhere.

I have a broken bag.

Great.

"Need help?" I heard a British accented voice ask behind me as I picked up some of the pencils that had fallen out.

I looked behind me and saw Kade staring down at me with a polite smile.

I sighed. I probably looked like such an idiot.

"No, I'm fine thanks," I said, still picking the last remains of my pencil case.

"Aren't you Cameron's little sister?" Kade asked.

"Yip," I replied, standing up with my broken bag.

"It's Lexi, right?" Kade asked.

I nodded and stuffed my empty bag in my locker and held the books I would need for the last two lessons of the day in my arms.

"You're very pretty Lexi," Kade said, catching me off guard. I looked at him from my side and frowned.

"Excuse me?" I asked, confused at his words. Did he really mean them? Or was he a robot that Cameron and his friends had built to humiliate me? I looked around for Cameron, but only saw a few students still roaming the halls.

And to add to things, I had never been told that.

My previous boyfriends all used me. They never took me out on dates, never kissed me or hung around me. In fact, now that I think about it, I never actually had a boyfriend. It was mostly guys just trying to get me in bed.

"Has no one ever told you that?" Kade asked, leaning against the lockers next to mine.

I shook my head in embarrassment.

"Well you better believe it," Kade said, giving me the most amazing smile.

"Thanks," I said softly as I pushed a loose strand of my red hair behind my ear.

The bell rang and everyone moved to their classes.

"See you around," Kade said, and then joined the crowd.

Weird...

I moved to my accounting class and saw Kate sitting with Oliver in the back. This was their make out class.

I walked up to them and stood in between them, breaking their kissing.

"We don't want you two to do it right here. Not a very nice place for your second time." I said with a serious face, but a tinge of humor in my voice.

"Do you have to tell your friends everything that we do?" Oliver said, a bit annoyed.

I smirked and Kate glared at me.

"They insisted," She said, directing the reply to me.

"Hay, I never would of brought it up if you guys didn't say I had a crush on you know who." I said, raising an eyebrow.

"Oh Kade?" Oliver suddenly blurt out.

My jaw hung open and then I looked at Kate.

"Hay, he is my best guy friend slash boyfriend. I tell him everything too you know." Kate said smirking.
