I woke up with a jolt of energy going through my body. I sat up quickly and tried to slow down my breathing. I pulled the blanket off of me to try and get some air. I looked over to my clock and saw it was one in the morning.
My door swung open suddenly, and Cameron ran through in a panic. "Are you ok? I heard you scream?" Cameron's face went from panicked to confused.
"Lexi? Where are you?" Cameron asked. I frowned and looked down at myself, only to see I was fully invisible.
What. The. Hell.
Cameron started moving towards my bathroom and my heart rate started to pick up.
I zoomed past him and into the bathroom and turned myself back to normal just as Cameron walked in, the panicked face returning.
"Lexi, are you ok?" Cam asked, looking worried.
"Yeah, I just had a bad dream." I said quickly.
"Okay," Cam said, and then moved out of my room.
I sighed and looked at myself.
What the hell was that? My whole body was invisible and it happened at the same time that I was born, seventeen years ago.
I tried it again and my whole body went invisible, but flickered a bit.
I have to say, now this, was cool.
I moved back to my bed and slowly drifted to sleep again, thinking of how all of a sudden, my whole body can turn invisible.
---
"Kate! Kate! Kate." I jumped up and down in front of her and Oliver.
"Lexi, calm down!" Kate said, grabbing my shoulders to keep me down.
"I have to tell you something, but not here." I said.
Kate eyed me suspiciously and then smiled.
"Oh, I get it. Cameron bought you a boyfriend for your birthday?" She said, understanding that I was so excited, but that was not the reason.
"No silly. I can't tell you here. Oh, and hey Oliver." I said, smiling at him.
"Hay Lexi, happy birthday." Oliver said, giving me a hug.
"Thanks. Now come Kate." I pulled her along. I was so happy I could finally tell someone about my powers and how I felt.
I pulled Kate into a janitor's closet and switched the light on.
"What is so important that you have to pull me into this rat infested place?"
I chuckled and smirked at Kate before going totally invisible.
Kate gasped and reached out for me.
"Hay, that's my eye." I chuckled as she poked my eyes.
I turned back to normal and smiled at her.
"I woke up at midnight like this, but I can hardly control it. If I am nervous, parts of me go invisible. It's so strange, and I'm scared that something is going to happen and I'll expose myself."
"Why don't you wear like lots of clothing?"
"Because those go invisible with me. I haven't controlled it enough for me to select what I can and can't turn invisible." I said, a bit frustrated.
"Well just try and keep calm today I will be right next to you." Kate said, reassuring me.
"Happy birthday Blue." She said, pulling me into a hug.
