Shop Till You Drop

I sat at my desk, flicking my pencil around as I watched the seconds tick on the clock. I was in English, last lesson of the day on an extremely hot day might I add.

I couldn't wait for this day to just end but more importantly for school to end.

It was dragging and dragging and dragging and I felt like I was going to die, or maybe I already had and this is hell.

The clock ticked over and the bell rang. I let out a sigh of relief.

It was time for shopping!

"Come on Lexi, we need as much time as possible." Kate whined standing by my desk as I rushed to pack my bag with the books that were on my desk.

"I'm coming," I swung the bag on to my shoulder and nodded. "Ready." I said and Kate nodded, we headed towards the door and I knocked into something hard while Kate packed out laughing.

I frowned and felt my nose.

I had walked into the side of the door.

"That's embarrassing," I muttered to myself.

"I thought it was quiet cute." I heard a male voice say, I looked to my right and saw Kade leaning against the wall outside of my English class.

"Well then cute has a totally new meaning and it's painful," I rubbed my nose as it ached a bit.

Both Kate an Kade laughed at my comment.

I stood there waiting for Kade to say something but he didn't.

"What are you doing by my English class?" I asked moving to the side so people could come through the door.

"I wanted to say goodbye, and the exit of the school is this way and I knew you would be coming out here." Kade said smiling a little.

I nodded and smiled back, "You're such a stalker." I nudged Kade's shoulder as I let out a little laugh.

"We have to go Lexi," Kate reminded me,

"Oh yes, bye Kade." I said lifting my hand for a small wave but Kade rapped his arms around my waist. Embracing my into a small hug.

"See you tomorrow." Kade said and Kate and I left him.

We walked in silence until we were by Kate's car.

"Omigosh! Lexi, he is so in love with you it's sickening!" Kate squealed as she got into the drivers seat of her car.

"No, he was just being a gentleman," I got into the car and Kate started backing out of the parking space.

"Don't deny it Lexi!" Kate said in a serious tone.

"Fine." I muttered and looked out the window.

We drove towards the shops and excitement was bubbling up in my stomach.

We arrived at the mall and parked the car as close as possible. We walked inside and I smiled in excitement.

"Ok what shop first?" Kate asked,

I thought for a moment and one instantly popped into my head.

"Cotton On, my favorite!" I squealed and we walked in the direction of Cotton On.

This mall had giant clothing shops and Cotton On was a pretty big shop.

"What do you want the style to be?" Kate asked looking through some racks of clothing that was on sale.

"I want to wow him!" I said, Kate giggled at my comment.

"And how exactly do you want to do that, bad ass style? Fancy style? Country style?" Kate suggested things and I shook my head to all three.

"Lexi style." I stated and went to some more racks. My dad had left us some money in each of our bank accounts before he left and last night when he had called I asked for a tiny bit more but of coarse I had to explain everything.

"Lexi, I don't know what the 'Lexi style' is?" Kate shook her head.

"Fine just follow and when I'm putting the outfit together then I need your help."

I went off to find a nice miniskirt and found a leather miniskirt which was exactly what I wanted.

The miniskirt was a high waist skirt.

"What color do you think I should wear for the top?" I asked looking through racks of t-shirts.

"Pink?"

"Eww no!" I shivered.

"Please don't wear black, wear maybe a purple or blue or green top but not black." Kate said as she pulled her face in disgust.

This went on for another half an hour before I finally went into the changing rooms to try on the different outfits.

I put my stockings on and put the miniskirt over it with my ankle boots. I added a grey crop top with the words 'Hey There!' Written on the front.

I came out and Kate looked at me and a large smile came on to her face.

"And?" I asked in curiosity.

"I like it a lot but I still think you should wear a dress, Lexi this is for a party on a Friday evening." Kate said looking at my outfit.

I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"Fine but I'm still getting this stuff." I said with a grin on my face.

I never bothered trying the other outfits, they were too gothic.

I paid for my leather skirt, crop top and stockings and we headed to a shop called Mango, they normally had evening dresses.

"Omigosh Lexi!" Kate squealed as she picked up a white dress.

It was stunning, it was a short dress that looked like it would be tight on your body but had a light see through sheet stalling across it.

"Lets try it."

We grabbed a few more dresses and headed for the change rooms.

I first tried a blue dress that was tight at the top and then flared out from the hips and came to the top of my knees.

"I look like I should be holding a lollipop and have pigtails in my hair." I muttered as I came out of the dressing room. Kate shook her head and I went to try the white dress on. It fitted my body perfectly and the draping around it made my body look like it had curves.

"Like it. Love it. Lets buy it!" Kate squealed again as I came out. I laughed and went back to change back into my jeans, t-shirt and sneakers.

Kate and I continued to shop for accessories and shoes for another two hours. My feet were killing me by the end of the day.

I threw all the shopping bags by the front door of my room and flopped down, face first on to my bed.

I moaned into the duvet and sighed.

Relief ran through my body from rest.

"Hay, how was shopping?" Cameron asked sitting down on my bed.

"I'm shopped out." I mumbled into the duvet.

"Well I can make you some crumbed chicken?" Cameron got up off my bed and switched my light on.

"Yes please." I mumbled and Cameron left to go make me some dinner.
