She Knows

I have to say, I was so nervous to see Kate today. I had ignored all her messages yesterday about her begging me to tell her.

But I knew that today was going to be the day that I would have to see her and tell her.

Maybe I could just ditch school.

"Get up Lexi!" Cameron shouted at me, as he pulled the blanket off of my body, leaving me ice cold and with goosebumps.

"Cameron! It's cold!" I shouted at him, as I moaned into my pillow.

"Well serves you right. You need to get up. We are leaving in twenty minutes." Cameron said, as he left my room.

I groaned into the pillow and got up, dragging myself to the bathroom.

"I hate Mondays." I mumbled to myself as I brushed my teeth.

I got into my leggings and boots and threw a long top on that says 'I Like You.'

I rushed downstairs as I tied my hair into a classic pony tail.

"Finally." Cameron said, getting off of the couch.

I grabbed an apple and a yogurt out of the fridge and walked out to his car.

I looked around the corner for Kate, but I couldn't see her. I was trying to delay this as long as possible, and so far I had been succeeding in not seeing her, but it was now first break.

I slipped into the hallway and walked down it hesitantly, just in case she would pop out of a locker or something like that.

I let out a breath of relief as I got to the classroom, but with my luck, Oliver is in my class, so there was Kate sitting with Oliver.

I mentally slapped my face at not thinking this through. Oliver and Kate both looked my way and Kate glared at me. It wasn't even half way through break yet. Why on earth were they in the class?

Kate stood up and walked towards me.

"You are coming with me, now." She said coldly. I sighed as she dragged me along to the girls' bathroom.

"This is stupid Kate. Why does it bother you so much?" I asked, whining at her.

"It's not stupid. Stop whining and just tell me." She stated.

"I have no clue where to begin," I said, slouching down on the bench in the bathroom.

"Start with the hand," She stated.

"It turns invisible." I said in a short answer.

"More detail and show me, so I know you are not lying." Kate said with a smug look on her face.

I rolled my eyes and turned my hand invisible as Kate's eyes grew.

"How long?" She asked excitedly.

"Since I was born." I stated in a grumpy tone.

"What else can you do?"

"Super speed and telekinesis." I said, like it was no big deal.

"Oh. My. Gosh. Lexi!! Why did you keep this from me?!" She asked excitedly.

"Because I was scared. I just want to be normal." I said, a bit sad.

"Whatever. Ok, now show me this telekinesis thing."

I chuckled a bit and I had a brilliant idea.

"Don't be scared." I said, reassuring her.

I concentrated on Kate's body as I slowly lifted her off the bench. She started flailing her arms around and I was finding it difficult to keep her up.
