I surprisingly won the fight, which enraged Peter.
I couldn't concentrate on anything around me.

When the matches were over some people were crying as they had to leave Dauntless and others were cheering,a sign they were one step closer to their dream.
I stayed silent.I was marked first since Peter had lost. But I didn't feel any joy.Actually quite the opposite.
I needed to talk to Tris.

I glanced at Eric one more time.He didn't look back at me.
I walked out of the training room and went to grab some food since I didn't have breakfast.

I was almost alone in the cafeteria.Everyone was probably still talking about the rankings. But all I could think and hear was a clock ticking and when it would stop finally,my secret would be open to everyone.
People already didn't like me.I had no friends except Eric,if he could be considered a friend,so who would fight with me if they found out about my Divergence?Who would stand by my side except maybe my brother?

I had never felt so alone in my life, not even when I was with Marcus.I've never felt so helpless.

"Adelane?" a small voice asked.

I turned to see Tris and Tobias watching me.
I frowned at the sight of my brother.

"We need to talk." he said.

I glanced down at my untouched food.I wouldn't eat anyway.I couldn't.I got up and followed them.
I realized we were heading in Tobias's apartment.I couldn't help but wonder if Tris and Tobias had done anything. Then again knowing my brother,he would want to wait.

We walked in and Tobias closed the door.He motioned us to sit and we did as he went to stand beside a window.

He crossed his arms over his chest and eyed me.
"Adelane I am going to ask you something and I want you to answer me honestly."

I chewed the inside of my cheek.Would he ask me about Eric?

"Did you ask Tris about Eric because you see any kind of future with him or is there another reason?" He seemed disgusted by the word future.
Did he think I wanted to marry Eric?

I rolled my eyes.
"Tobias don't worry I am not going to marry Eric.Quite frankly I don't think he wants anything from me anymore."

Tobias shook his head not satisfied with my answer.
"Adelane why did you ask about Eric?"

I glared at Tris and she smiled a little apologetically.

Oh fuck this!

"I am Divergent." I blurted out.

My brother closed his eyes and shook his head.He didn't seem angry or surprised.
When he opened his eyes I saw fear.So much fear.

"I thought so.Tori warned both you and Tris."

"Tris is Divergent?" I turned to her and saw her nodding.

"I am too."Tobias spoke.

I looked at him surprised. So there was a way to hide it?

"How did you manage to hide it?" I asked.

Tobias pressed his lips.
"Tori asked you to stay away from Eric and I did the same for a different reason and you ignored both of us."

I opened my mouth to protest but I couldn't do anything. He was right.

"I don't know why Eric has taken interest in you."Tobias shrugged."I don't know if he did what he did to get to me or because he somehow knows.I don't think he does but either way it's really hard to hide it from him now."

I bit my lip.I wanted to ask him if maybe just maybe Eric actually took interest in me.

"You don't think he may actually have.." I shrugged "liked me?"

Tobias looked at me and frowned, contemplating what to say.
"Adelane..look.He's dangerous, that's what you need to understand."

I nodded feeling a sob coming up.I let a few tears fall but nothing more.I couldn't afford anything more.

"So what do we do?" I asked.

Tobias looked from me to Tris.
"We fight it."
