Change of Plans

Adelane's pov:

A part of me felt uncomfortable with the idea of staying in Amity but since we explained the situation they seemed eager to fight along us.
The only problem was we did not know how to start this sort of revolution...
It had only been a few days since we got here.I thought I would feel some type of peace but I didn't.Instead I felt completely anxious.Like any moment Eric would come and drag me back to Dauntless and on top of all...
I hadn't got my period in a week.Dauntless used to give us birth control shots but with all that happened the lasts months I didn't remember taking the last shot...

It was 10 in the morning and we were eating breakfast at the Amity table.
Well the others were,I felt too nauseous to eat.
"You should eat something." Tris said.

I stared at the plate in front of me.I felt like vomiting.

I suddenly put a hand over my mouth and run outside.
I couldn't hold it anymore and I puked.

Four walked behind me and rested a hand on my back.
"Maybe you should see a doctor." he said.

I felt my palms getting sweaty.I didn't really need a doctor to tell me what I had.I could feel it.
I nodded.
"I should go yes."

A lady escorted me to the infirmary.

The doctor was thankfully a young woman.
She made me sit on a chair and she asked what the problem was.

"I just need a pregnancy test." I said not taking my eyes off my hands.

A few seconds past and I looked up to see if she had heard me.
She stared back at me sympathetically.
She didn't ask anything else and simply handed me a test.
I took it and slowly walked to the bathroom

The seconds until the test could show a sign seemed like centuries to me.
At last,though,the two terrible line showed up.
I felt tears forming my eyes.I've never felt more hopeless in my life.
The doctor placed a hand on me shoulder.

"Everything will be okay." she tried to calm me down.

"Not with that father." I said.
What would Eric do...

"You must not tell anyone." I said.

Thankfully she didn't seem too eager to learn.So she just agreed.

I quickly left the infirmary and went to find my brother and Tris.
I tried to come up with a plan but nothing came in mind.
I knew keeping a baby at the moment was nearly impossible but I didn't really want to get rid of it...
I wanted that baby.

Just when I was about to find my brother a siren broke off

Shit.

I run as fast as i could towards the dinning room and i saw Tris and Tobias running back.

"What happend?" i asked.

Tobias looked like he was about to faint.
"Eric."

I bit my lip,what would happen if i told him...
He wouldn't care.He would just see it as another problem.

Tobias grabbed both mine and Tris's hand and made a run for the upper rooms.
I remembered these rooms very well.The first night that I walked here I was at the leader's room.
I felt like that would be the first place Eric would look.

"No." I said and stopped walking.

"Adele we need to hide.There's no time for-"

"This will be the first place Eric will look.The stables that's where we need to go." I said.

Tobias considered it for a second and then nodded.

We run as fast as I could and the only thing on my mind was that baby.I had to protect that baby.
When we reached the stables we decided it would be for the best to split so each one chose a horse and hid.

Soon I heard footsteps approaching.
My heart started beating faster.I knew who it was.
The footsteps stopped on my horse.

Lighter footsteps followed.
Madelane.

"I told you Eric.There is no one here." she sound angry.

"I know she is here Madelane.She is..."

"She is dangerous." he said at last.

Madelane chuckled.
"Oh please Eric you know the poor girl only wants to live.She is no harm."

"She loves you you know."she said.

I felt my hands getting numb.I waited for Eric's angry response but it didn't came.

"I know."his voice was very quiet.

"And You are willing to let go of the only person that loved you unconditionally no matter how manevilent you were to her...because a bitch said so."

I think Eric was as shocked as me because he didn't have a response.Well at least not right away.

"She is dangerous.All of them are,which is why we need to test them and analyze their behavior."
My heart sunk.
That's all I was to him.

"I need you to open the stables we need to search."Eric said.

My mouth went completely dry.
My hand went over my belly.

There was a silence.

"Very good."Madelane said.

I mentally prepared myself to run.

The doors started to slowly open and once the door was open enough I run as fast as I could not even daring to look back to see Eric or Tris and Tobias.
The only thing I wanted was to protect my baby.

I could hear Eric's booming voice calling my name.
I run faster and I felt two more people running beside me.
Tris and Tobias.

We run towards the forest with no idea where we were going.
I felt shootings behind us and I almost gasped.
I hadn't realized they wanted us dead.

"ADELANE!" Eric kept screaming my name.

Tears stung my eyes.

Oh Eric.

"I am sorry." I whispered.

We got out of the woods and saw the train tracks.
The train was rapidly approaching.
I run faster.

"Adelane no you won't make it!" My brother tried to stop me.

Just when I was about to jump I felt strong arms pulling me back.
My back hit the ground and I groaned.
Eric was on top of me,his foot pressing down on me so I wouldn't move.
Tobias and Tris had their hands on the air and a bunch of Dauntless soldiers were pointing their guns at them.

"Put them inside the truck I'll deal with her."Eric ordered his eyes never leaving mine.

When Tris and Tobias were away and we stayed alone Eric gave me his hand.

I stared at him,frowning at the gesture but at last I took his hand.

"That was stupid." he said once I was up.

I glared at him.

I wasn't going to talk to him.I had nothing left to say to him.Not anymore.

I ignored him and went inside the truck.
Planning my next escape.
