Bad omen

I woke up to my bed.

At some point I did feel Eric shifting beneath me but I was too tired to protest,even though a part of me did feel a little bit dissapointed that he didn't let me stay the night.
I told myself it was for the best.I didn't want anyone asking where I was last night.

I woke up streaching.I felt good,I had a good night sleep and telling Eric about my past felt relieving.Maybe I could hide who i was and Eric wouldn't have to act.

I was putting my hair in a ponytail when I heard Tris calling me.
I wasn't in the mood to talk to her.

"Adelane,please talk to me." she called again.

I sighed annoyed and turned to her.
"What do you want Tris?" I crossed my hands over my chest as I had seen Eric doing to make himself more intimidating.

"I did not tell Four anything.He saw the cameras and I saw him walking towards the tattoo place.I was trying to stop him." she struggled to sound calm.

I knew she was telling the truth.She didn't have any reason to lie since we didn't have any kind of relationship to try and save.

I slowly nodded my head.Tris was a kind girl.
"It's okay Tris.I just need to figure out everything with Eric,alone."

She nodded back,smilling slightly at me.
"I know.Four is just trying to protect you.But I think you can make it on your own."

"Hey Tris.Has Four said anything about Eric?Maybe about his past?" I needed to find more things about him and asking him wouldn't do the trick.He wouldn't tell me anything.

Tris pressed her lips and looked at her feet.
"Four didn't but Tori has." she slowly said.

Tori?Tori has spoken to Tris about Eric?
Was Tris a

"She said-"

"Not here." I cut her "Meet me tonight after dinner.We need to talk."

Tris slowly nodded.
"I'll see you." she said and stormed out.

If Tris was a Divergent then she was in danger as well.But obviously Tori has spoken to her.

I got ready quickly and went straight to training deciding to skip breakfast.
Nobody was there and my eyes fell on the rankings.

I was second.

A small smile appreaed on my face.I reminded myself how strong I was.I was a survivor.I adapted.

People started coming in and I waited patiently to hear what would happen.

Eric walked in followed by an angry Tobias.
They both seemed to ignore each other which was normal enough.Eric came to stand in front of us.I noticed he avoided looking at me.

"Initiates.This is your rankings,these " he said and pointed to them "will determine who will be cut."

"Each of you will have one last match that will determine you ranking.Give your best self."Tobias said.

We all looked at the wall behind them.I saw my name next to a boy named Peter.I knew him well enough since he was one of the bests.He had also made it clear he didn't like Abnegation.

I started walking but a voice stopped me.
"Did you like it sleeping with Eric to get second?"

I turned and saw and red hair girl glaring at me with so much hatred.
I launched at her without a second thought and pinned her to the ground.
She struggled to break free but I punched her in the face,causing blood to poor from her nose.
I didn't get to do anything else.Two strong arms pulled off her and pinned me to the grown.

I saw Eric's face mixed with anger and confusion looking down at me.
"What the hell initiate?" he yelled.

I ignored him and got on my feet,trying to see how much damaged I had caused to the other girl.
She was holding her nose and Tobias was over her trying to help her to her feet.

I frowned angrily at them.I felt a sudden urge to also hit my brother.
Then a flash of Marcus,hitting both of us came to my mind and I stopped.
I looked down at my bloody hands.What did I do?

"Adelane I am talking to you!" Eric's voice suddenly filled my ears.
I turned to look at him.

"I asked you why did you do that." he repeated.

I bit down my lip but I didn't get to answer.

"Because I told her she had slept with you to get second." The girl whose name was apparently Jane glared from me to Eric.

I felt so embarrassed.Mostly because I had slept with Eric,but he hadn't helped me,had he?

Eric glared back at her but she didn't seem affected.

"Be careful initiate." Eric's voice was a deadly calm tone.

"Why?It's true!Yesterday she didn't sleep in our dorms and today I saw you carrying her to her bed in the middle of the night.You thought no one saw you but I did."She was calmer now,the blood tickled down her chin and her eyes were red from anger.

"Adelane was in the infirmary last night and today I carried her back because she was training for hours and she had fallen asleep." I was surprised at how easily Eric could lie.It scared me.

Jane didn't look convinced but she didn't press it.

"Now if anyone's doesn't want to throw more accusations" Eric seemed more angry than usual "we have matches to do."

Eric walked away from us.

I let out a breath and closed my eyes.That was the last thing I needed.
