Hello lovely readers. This story is slowly coming to an end so bare with me as you did for a while.

Eric was true to his words.I managed to read the paper his gave me without being caught and the following day everything went as he said they would.

The experiment started right away.At the first stage at least it wasn't painful at all neither for me not Eric.
They started with some tests to see where the Divergence gene was located in the DNA.

The plan was simple. At some point in the first stage Jeanine would leave for Dauntless to talk about the project leaving me and Eric along with a few soldiers and scientist alone.Since she trusted Eric she felt safe leaving the faction.
Eric was Eric so it would be easy for him to overpower them.We had to be quick enough though in order to leave in time.
Eric also agreed to free both Tris and Tobias (weirdly enough) whom I hadn't seen in such a long time.

I was escorted in a different lab than Eric did.
Some blood tests were done first, pretty simple.
I waited patiently in my chair ready to run.

The door opened and my eyes snapped towards it.
Eric walked in alsmot calm and with a swift move snapped the head of the scientist.
He didn't even have to look at me.The moment his head hit the ground I was already running with Eric towards the exit.
When we got to the main door Tobias and Tris waited.
I smiled at the sight of them.

I didn't have the chance to say anything however because the sirens started ringing and we quickly made a run for the door.

We run through the city,Eric leading the way until we reached the woods near Amity.

That's when Eric stopped running and turned to us.

"I think we are okay for now." he said making me socked that he wasn't at all out of breath.

Tobias stared at him.
"Just so you know,us trusting you was basically the lowest point i have ever reached."

I lightly punched Tobias.
"It doesn't matter. What does matter is that we stop Jeanine."

"That will be-"

But Eric never got to finish his sentence.
His mouth was left in an open form and he slowly looked at his stomach.
Blood started running and he instantly put a hand over it.

I was too shocked to do anything.I could only stare at him.
Just Like a dream my brother grabbed me and Eric and he started running towards the train, which was just coming.

I heard men shouting and I knew Jeanine's men were near.
Eric was still holding his wound trying to stop the bleeding.

"You both need to gather your strenght and jump." Tobias yelled.

I closed my eyes and grabbed Eric shoulder.
"Do not.Leave.Me." I whispered.

I,as Tobias said, gathered all my strenght and jumped on the train.

Tobias and Tris did as well and the last who did was Eric.
Even with a wound he was a beast.

The moment he climbed in,his body collapsed.
He took shaky breaths, trying not to let go.

I walked over to his side and kneeled.
I took a look at his wound for the first time and saw the shooter had thankfully missed his heart. But seeing him like this just when he had started realizing how things broke me.
I started crying silently.
"Don't you die on me Eric.
Please."

His hand found mine and he brought it to his lips.
"I am so sorry." a tear left his eye.

Tobias placed a hand on my shoulder.
He was holding a bottle and a piece of cloth.
"Let me help him." he whispered.

I stared at him and slowly withdrew from Eric.

This is not how things will end.I kept saying myself
