GUESS WHO'S BACK?

Um, I wanna say you and Ed but I don't wanna get my hopes up...

IT'S ME AND EDDIE-BEAR!

Eddie-Bear? That's new :D

His brother bestowed that upon him yesterday. I LOVE THAT GUY and I still wish you would have come with. :(

Sorry, Ale. :(

Can we seez you?

I was about to type in a yes, but then Kyla turned over in our bed and tossed his arm over my chest. Of course, he had to ask, "Who're you texting?"

"Gale," I honestly responded. "We're just talking over our plans for New Years."

"New Years?" he echoed, scrunching up his eyebrows.

"Yeah. While you go to your party, I was gonna go see my friends. They've been gone all break," I explained, noting how tight his grip on me was. The sad thing, that was the closest to cuddling we ever got while he was stone-cold sober.

Kyla huffed. "You don't need to go out with your friends on New Years. They'll probably take you to some lame-ass party and get you drunk. It's not happening. Plus, I was gonna skip my party this year," he removed his arm from around me and I whimpered. I missed his grip. "I was gonna hang out with you, but if you'd rather be with them..."

Wait, Kyla was actually gonna give up his favorite night of the year for me? Holy crap.

HOLY CRAP.

I smiled, sliding my hand along his chest. Our blankets were piled on high atop of us, fighting off the cold of the December night. I noticed he pulled them in a little closer. If we weren't in a small fight, I'd comment he wouldn't be so chilly if he wore clothes to bed. (Really, sleeping with only his underwear on was just as weird as it was illogical.)

"Kyla," I murmured, "you love New Years. I don't want you to give it up for me. I'd feel really bad if you did that."

"Jesus, you're always complaining that I don't spend enough time with you and, now that I'm putting aside another holiday for you, you're mad? I can't win with you!" he hissed, shoving my tiny hand away. "You're not going with them. You're gonna stay here, Clem, with me."

"But-"

"It's not up for discussion. You'll stay with me and we'll celebrate together. Don't you want that? You love spending time together. We can even kiss when the clock hits midnight. Unless you wanna do that with your other friends, in which case you can start packing your fucking bags."

I fell silent.

"Yeah, I thought so," Kyla hummed, leaning over to kiss me in a dirty way. I hated it when he did that. "Now, apologize for being an ungrateful bitch."

"Sorry," I whispered.

"Actions speak louder than words, Clem."

"I'm tired, Kyla."

"And that's my fault?" he snapped. I shook my head, dejected. "Exactly, so be a good boy and do as your told, alright? Life would be so much easier if you just listened to me, Clem."

"I know it would be," I admitted, biting my lip. I closed my eyes and, as always, did as Kyla told me to do.
