Mark walked down the streets of town in complete shock. Shortly after he threw Donghyuck out, he decided that he needed a walk to sort out his thoughts.
He couldn't believe what Donghyuck told him. He couldn't believe that Donghyuck loves him. It was impossible. He hated Donghyuck, Donghyuck hated him, that's how it went.
They were complete opposites and Mark didn't believe all that stuff about opposites attracting each other. If Mark was to love somebody, then that somebody would have to be a strong, caring person like him and not a cold-hearted, little bastard like Donghyuck.
It was impossible for him to love Donghyuck and it shouldn't be possible for Donghyuck to love him. If those things were possible, then the sky might just as well turn orange.
Donghyuck just loved to mess with his head. Yes that must be it. This was just another one of Donghyuck's games. He was just playing around, looking for how far he can push Mark before he snaps.
Damn that idiot.
But…
He clearly saw Donghyuck try to jump from the building, he obviously wasn't faking that and Donghyuck had no way of knowing that Mark was standing right behind him, surprised at what he saw when Mark went to the roof to smoke a cigarette.
But then again Donghyuck did have his freakish way of knowing everything.
But would Donghyuck really go to such lengths in his sick game as to kiss Mark. Heck, the idiot even cried, Mark never saw Donghyuck cry before.
Were those just fake tears? Was Donghyuck just so determent to win this one-sided game he was playing that he completely forgot about any dignity he had and went of to cry and kiss his mortal enemy?
That was taking it a bit far, even for Donghyuck.
Damn that bastard, what was going on!
And why was Mark looking for him?
Mark sighed when he realized that he was doing just that. He was looking for Donghyuck. Mostly because he was afraid that Donghyuck really was suicidal and just like he said to Donghyuck, he had no interest in getting his dirty blood all over his hands.
Sure Mark threatened to kill him on daily bases but he never actually meant it. He would be perfectly satisfied if Donghyuck was just leave him alone.
But no, Donghyuck just had to piss him off, every single time when he came to Seongdong.
He was definitely asking for everything he got and Mark should not feel sorry for him, because this was just another one of Donghyuck's stupid, twisted, sick little games.
Yeah, he wasn't fooling anyone, was he?
Mark definitely felt sorry for Donghyuck. He wasn't sure what, but something told him that it wasn't all just an act. That tear filled eyes or that gentle kiss full of love.
He had no idea, but something told him that Donghyuck wasn't lying and that he really was in some kind of trouble, emotional or not.
Now that Mark thought about it, Donghyuck had actually no one to turn to in time of crisis. His brothers would sell him of for a chance to meet Chenle, he drifted apart from his parents and had no friends that Mark knew off, except maybe Jaemin, but Jaemin was always way to nosy and loud for emotional situations.
Well it's not like he could blame the people for not wanting to be friends with that two faced little troll. But has Donghyuck really become desperate enough to search comfort from his archenemy?
He still wasn't sure what to think about Donhyuck's confession, though.
Was that real or just an act?
Was the kiss just a way to show Mark that he meant no harm?
An apology maybe?
That was stupid, Donghyuck didn't apologize and he quotes; "Did not love any individual, for he loved humanity itself." But then again, Donghyuck did always call him a monster, was that some kind of a sick way to let him know that he was special and to still keep his facade up.
Donghyuck couldn't love a single person.
Could he love a single monster?
Idiot, idiot, idiot.
Why did Donghyuck always had to make Mark's life so damn hard.
Couldn't he just leave him alone?
Find himself another monster to irritate.
This was Seongdong, of all the places in the world, this was where all the monsters gathered.
Why him?
Why always him?
Why Donghyuck couldn't just leave Mark alone, leave everybody alone? And who did he think he was, to go on and apologies after everything he did?
He risked lives of people for his own entertainment, he made a monster out of Mark and then he came and asked to be forgiven.
Heck no.
But…
"If I have to live, I want to live here with you. I'll do whatever you want from me."
Mark smiled. If Donghyuck wanted to be tamed so much then fine. He is going to tame him. He, Mark Lee accepts the challenge from Lee Donghyuck to tame him.
To tame the demon that haunted the lives of many. If Mark needs to look Donghyuck up in a room, then fine, he will. Because Donghyuck just wants to live there with him. He'll do whatever Mark says, right?
Mark laughed happily for he was going to domesticate the demon that plagued the town. Mark is going to turn Donghyuck into a house cat if he needs.
Mark had no idea what exactly is he going to do with Donghyuck, but if this was just a game, he was planning to go all in this time. And if it's not…well everybody still wins, don't they.
The town is safe.
Donghyuck lives with Mark.
And Mark knows exactly where Donghyuck is and what is he doing.
No more surprises.
No more games.
This time it's face to face, directly.
Game on, Donghyuck.
