Four days have passed until Donghyuck finally woke up. Technically looking, it wasn't that long, but with the doctor's constant worrying that Donghyuck would slip into a come from blood lose, it seemed like eternity.

The brunette woke up groggy, grumpy and hungry, so by the time Mark got there, after being called over in three in the morning, Donghyuck's bed was surrounded by take out boxes from Chinese Dumpling.

Yukhei was there, silently smiling as Donghyuck devoured his fifth serving of dumpling. Mark grinned at the sight as he grabbed himself a chair.

The younger still looked rather pale and his chest was bandaged up. Unlike Mark, he didn't have enormous strength that would protect him from the bullet and the doctor said that Donghyuck was above lucky.

The bullet missed all of his major organs and just caused a huge bleed out or something.

What Mark got from it was that Donghyuck was fine and only reason he didn't wake up before was because he was resting.

Considering everything Donghyuck was through in just that one day, Mark didn't blame him. After all just five days ago, he was depressed and suicidal.

He hoped Donghyuck was better now.

Donghyuck looked at him questioningly as he ate up last of his dumpling.

"Minhyungie? To what do I owe the honor?" he chuckled weakly.

Yukhei patted Mark's shoulder, "Be nice, Mark. Donghyuck want to be friends now. No fight. Okay?"

Donghyuck looked from Yukhei to Mark, who nodded in agreement,

"I didn't save your sorry ass so I could keep trying to kill it. What do you say bastard, do we have a truce?"

Donghyuck stared at him for so long that Mark started to worry that somehow the blood loss affected his brain, but then the younger just smirked and nodded. Mark smiled.

That wasn't Donghyuck's usual smirk that would piss him off. This one was different. He wasn't sure how, but it was. Mark liked it.

Though he would like anything out of Donghyuck, since he spent last few days looking at the motionless doll.

"Whatever you say Minhyungie, you know I always do as you say" Donghyuck sung lowly and his smirk sunk down.

Mark blinked in surprise and annoyance. He almost forgot that Donghyuck was depressed as hell before all of this. Of course, he shouldn't have just imagined that the younger would wake up and be all better, but it still annoyed him.

"Would you cut the crap, Donghyuck. You never do as I say. Stop acting like that, it's weird"

Donghyuck chuckled and flipped over on his bed, pulling the blanket over his head. Yukhei frowned at Mark.

"Mark, you say no fight. Here, have dumpling, make you feel good. Dumpling happy make Mark happy!" Yukhei pushed a box of dumpling in his hands and Mark grumbled as he accepted it.

Mark was hungry anywise as he ran out of the hospital for that ungrateful Donghyuck in ungodly hour, without having breakfast.

The hours passed and Yukhei went home, seeing as he had work in the morning, leaving Donghyuck and Mark alone, coated in uncomfortable silence.

"So…Minhyungie, why are you here?" the younger whispered under the covers.

"Huh?" Mark replied intelligently, as he was dozing of at the moment.

"Why are you here? Why do you care what happens to me? As the matter of fact, why didn't you just leave me there to die? Nobody would miss me"

"Heck if I know that. I guess I'm just a better person than you thought"

"But we would both be happier if I died"

"Would you really be happy with death?"

"…"

Mark sighed. He hated seeing Donghyuck like this. Curled up like a small, lost child. Sounding so weak and confused. That wasn't Donghyuck, not the one he knew.

"So you still want to die, Donghyuck?"

"Uh huh"

"What good would that do?"

"It would make you happy. It would make a lot of people happy"

"What?!"

Was that seriously the reason Donghyuck wanted to die? Donghyuck never thought of others, he was egocentric bastard. He would never do something that make other people happy. Quite the opposite.

But still…it's kind of sad. Thinking that people would be happy when he died. How lonely was this human?

"You have friends Mark, you wouldn't understand. Sure people are afraid of you, but there are a lot of people who love you too. Me, I'm all alone. Nobody would care if I died. I'm just a bother. Everybody hates me. I should die and make everybody happy. That's the only good thing I can do"

Mark stared at the depressed brunette. Was that really how he felt?

"That's not true, Jaemin cares about you. Yukhei too, and..."

Donghyuck shrugged, "Whatever"

That hit Mark's nerve. He grabbed the smaller man and started shaking him roughly,

"What do you mean whatever?! People care about you! Not many but that's because you're a jerk, but still there is some! You can't just go off like that just because you assume everybody hates you"

Donghyuck didn't respond, his eyes were dull and lifeless once again.

"Honestly Minhyungie. I don't care anymore"
