Saige's POV
I angrily slammed the book shut, tossing it across the room as a grunt escaped my mouth. I ran a hand through my hair as I sighed.
I couldn't concentrate on anything for long periods of time without getting a headache. The words would start not making sense and my vision would become blurry.
Sam gave me his old medical books. I was happy to be able to read again, especially medicine.
I felt someone wrap their arms around my waist, resting their head on my shoulder. I relaxed against his touch, putting my hands over his.
"Take a deep breath," he said against my ear. "Try again later."
Ever seen I came out of a coma, I couldn't stay focused for long. Got headaches. Sam said it was a result of the brain injury. It was better than what could have happened.
Harry pressed a kiss to my exposed shoulder before I turned to look at him. His wound had begun to heal and he was able to move around again. He had gotten stronger.
He dipped down and kissed me, his soft lips moving magically against mine. I arched into his chest, my fingers going into his hair.
It also amazed me how my body reacted to his touch. Shivers broke out across my body at the feeling of his warm hands pressed against my skin. His kiss and scent intoxicated me, in a good way. Being with him felt like I could breathe again. He made me feel alive.
He reached down and picked me up, wrapping my legs against his waist. He started walking backwards towards the bed but a knock on the door pulled him away.
He pressed one last kiss to my lips before setting me on the ground and going over to the door. He opened the door, Niall standing on the other side.
His chest was rising and falling with heavy breaths, his eyes wide with fear. "You've got to see this."
I followed the two boys outside, where gunshots filled the air. They broke into a run, Niall handing Harry a gun.
Harry's hand took mine as we ran towards the gunshots.
People I recognized as S33 ran around, killing people in sight. It was the same attack Willow did on them.
Revenge.
I watched as Willow people fought against them, the gates flying open as the result of an explosion. Harry and I dropped to the ground as debris flew around us.
Melody was shoved through the doors, blood covering her usually perfect outfit. She had bruises and cuts covering her face and arms, her eyes filled with tears.
I immediately took off after her, Harry reaching out to catch me but was unsuccessful.
I wrapped my arm around her and pulled her to safety as out army fought against James'.
After the attack, Harry and the rest of the council gathered around Melody, waiting for her story. I had managed to convince them that she wasn't the enemy. That she helped me when I was inside S33.
"James survived your attack on him," she said, her voice shaking. "He planned to get back at you. He was going to kill everyone."
It hit me in the chest, making me take a step back. He survived. And he was coming after me. He was going to kill Harry. Me, I didn't care about so much. But Harry and Asher.
I put a hand on her shoulder, comforting her. Harry's hand rested on my back as he listened to her story.
"I sent someone to warn you," she cried. "I tried to kill James, but he was too strong. He got the best of me. He was going to kill me but decided not to."
Asher took Melody to the infirmary to treat her as we all stood there, thinking about our options. It wasn't hard, there was only one thing to do.
I looked up at the people standing around me before landing on Harry's. His forest green eyes were blazing with anger as furrowed his eyebrows.
"There's only one thing to do." Harry spoke, resting his hands on the table in front of us.
"And what's that?" Niall asked, taking a step forward.
I looked up and met his ocean blue eyes, my voice low as I spoke.
"We're going to war."
