Hinata POV

I stared at my hands as they moved on their own knitting the first tiny boot for my baby, my hands kept on moving it has been 5 days since Sasuke left.

Today is my due date but nothing has happened, I'm starting to get worried that something might be wrong, but Sakura assured me that sometimes it could take just a couple more days for the contractions to start.

"-orry!"

"Hmm"
I looked up and stared at Naruto who I think has been talking for most of the time? I'm not sure but he has been here from early morning along with Shikamaru and Shino whom are playing Shougi.

I stared as Naruto crouched down and got eye level with me. He put his hand on top of mine and repeated again.

"Hina I said again I'm sorry! I really did try to postpone this mission but it's just to important! And unfortunately this can only be done by that Teme!"

He sighed and squeezed my hand standing and giving me one of his big bright smiles. I smiled back and nodded. I think I have been acting to cold towards everyone and is completely unfair of me.

"I'm sorry guys! I've just been out of it! But I assure you guys I understand that nothing important can just be put on pause because I want it to be that way.! I'm being completely selfish!!"

I felt tears blind me! It's true I really have been. Before I could sob I heard his voice cool calm voice.

"It's not selfish at all! No Woman wants to bring a child to this world without the father!"

I smiled at Shikamaru who had stood up and held his hand out. I smiled at him and put my things on my basket and put it next to me on the floor. I took Shikamarus hand and he helped me up with the help of Naruto who helped me by grabbing my elbow.

"Thank you for being here!"

"It's the least we could do Hina! Sakura is at the hospital and is very busy, while the rest of the girls are on different missions. Well besides Temari who went to her brothers village to help them out! But everyone else is on missions! Also Ten-ten kind of ordered us to not leave your side!" Naruto smiled and shrugged his shoulders
"We would have done it either way, but with her swinging Shuriken in the air while she talked to the three of us was scary!"

"I know I felt her killer intent while she calmly talked and swung those Shuriken!" Shino piped in also.

I laughed at them as they both winced remembering the incident. I smiled at Shino he is no longer wearing his big hoody he still covers his eyes with his dark glasses, but you could see most of his face now.

Shikamaru put my hand on the crook of his arm as we started walking towards the front door. I sighed as I slipped on my slippers for easier access. I moved a little stray of hair that left my long braid and tucked it behind my ear.

I smiled at Shikamaru as he led me outside for our routine morning walk. Shikamaru has been staying here to help me out! Shino just got back from a mission along with Choji but Choji is busy on other matters! It seems he is in a relationship with someone, we are yet to meet her, but he is a lot more happier now a days.

"Ne Hina are you not scared? What if the baby decides to come out any second! Oh Kami should you even be walking? Shouldn't you be resting? What happens if-."

Shikamaru and I looked at Naruto as he panicked and stared at my stomach! I looked at Shikamaru and he only shook his head while I bursted out laughing.

"Hey future Hokage! Your wife is a doctor! Shouldn't you know about these things! What a drag." I laughed as Naruto rubbed the back of his neck and laughed.
