Meanwhile, Batroc's men attempted to get hold of the pirate below deck.
"Bonjour? Batroc, la ligne est morte. J'ai perdu le contact avec eux," the French pirate informed.
(A/N "Hello? Batroc, the line is dead. I lost contact with them.")
That's when Steve smashed his way in, but Batroc escaped.
"Hostages en route to extraction. Romanoff missed the rendezvous point, Cap. Hostiles are still in play," Rumlow informed.
"Natasha, Batroc's on the move. Circle back to Rumlow and protect the hostages," Steve said.
Natasha didn't respond.
"Natasha!" Steve called.
Then out of nowhere, Batroc attacked Steve. They fought for a while, Steve blocking his hits with his shield and whenever Beatrix was knocked down, he just got right back up.
"Je croyais que tu étais plus qu'un bouclier," Batroc remarked.
(A/N "I thought that you were more than just a shield.")
Steve placed his shield on his back and took off his mask.
"On va voir," Steve responded, dropping his mask.
(A/N "Let's see.")
They fought again until Steve knocked him out by smashing through a wall.
"Well, this is awkward," Natasha said.
Steve looked to see her on one of the computers.
"What are you doing?" Steve asked.
"Backing up the hard drive. It's a good habit to get into," Natasha answered.
"Rumlow needed your help. What the hell are you doing here?" Steve remarked.
He looked to see exactly what she was backing up.
"You're saving SHIELD Intel," he realized.
"Whatever I can get my hands on," she added.
"Our mission is to rescue hostages," Steve pointed out.
"No. That's your mission," Natasha replied.
The drive finished and she took it.
"And you've done it beautifully," Natasha added.
Steve grabbed her arm before she managed to leave.
"You just jeopardized this whole operation," he said.
"I think that's overstating things," she responded.
Then they saw Batroc get up and throw a grenade at the two as he ran off. Steve deflected the bomb with his shield, got Natasha, and jumped through a window before it went off.
"Okay. That one's on me," Natasha admitted.
"You're damn right," Steve said and walked off in anger.
