Steve stopped by one more place, smiling at what was about to happen.
"This is the last stop," Steve told her.
"What are we doing here? It's just an alleyway," Y/N questioned.
"Just trust me. You'll like this," he assured.
"I'll like an alleyway?" she questioned jokingly.
He rolled his eyes as they went further into the alley. They kept going until they made it to a dumpster. He looked inside, smiled, then closed it. Y/N was beyond confused.
"Okay. When you were changing, Nick Fury, the man I work for, told me that when they found you, he found something else," Steve said.
"And what might that be?" Y/N wondered.
He opened the dumpster and got out her shield. She lit up with happiness.
"Oh my god!" she practically squealed.
Steve laughed at her enthusiasm and gave her the shield. Y/N jumped up and down until she hugged Steve, who hugged back.
"Thank you," she said.
"You're welcome. But you'll also have to thank Fury too. He got it for me to give to you," he pointed out.
"I will do that," Y/N said when they parted.
"Alright. Let's head back to my place," Steve suggested.
They got back to the motorcycle, Y/N placed the shield on her back, they got on, and rode off for Steve's apartment.
